“...wonder how and where JR got pressure sores...”
-
Pressure sores (bed sores) are caused
by being in one position for too long.
Jim is a double amputee.
He has been wheelchair bound for several years.
Jim spends most of the time in his chair.
He sleeps in it also.
Thank you, Amy. Keeping up the prayers for Jim.
Oceans of prayers...
To prevent (and heal) the bedsores, Jim must rest in bed on one side, and then the other—and even on his back, which will put the pressure on a slightly different spot. Not for too long a time in any one position. This keeps them from developing or from getting worse if they have already started and helps the existing ones heal.
I forgot “donut cushion.” Place it around the sore and the pressure goes on the cushion, and is distributed, not on the sore.
Prayers up for Jim!
Prayers!
Thanks...I’ll add K2 to my vitamin regimen.
I’ve been doing D3 (5000) for years...just one more vitamin to add for now.
I should have told you that I use the “Superior Source” brand. They are really small and melt in your mouth or under the tongue. I really like them.
AMY.....we had to deal with this with our mom when she was so sick.
We had an old, family remedy called Resinol. It is an ointment. Used it for years. It’s amazing.
Not a Med Just know what worked for us.
Thanks Amy. Continuing my prayers and thanksgiving for Jim’s healing. God is in control. All is well.
Hope Jim can come home soon!
Thanks for the update! Continued prayers.
Thank you

We are praying for Jim’s recovery.
I looked for the ointment you mentioned. It’s made by the Resical company out of NC. I found it online at Walgreen’s, Amazon, and other sellers. Resical.com has it listed, with ingredients, under their line of medicated ointments. It’s not for severe ulcers and sores, but less serious ones, and it might help to prevent them. It has cornstarch, among other ingredients, in a petrolatum base. I used cornstarch in a knotted sock and sifted it over my father’s and mother’s skin when they were each in their last months. It kept their skin dry, cool, and smooth. I also would have tried what you used. Thanks for the info. Your knowledge might help so many suffering people.
God be with you Jim Robinson , heal up and get home .
