Toomey: ‘My Hope Is We’ll Get’ Half of Senate Republicans to Vote for Gun Deal
Breitbart ^ | 06/05/2022 | Pam Key

And banning manufacture of automatic firearms for civilian ownership was done under Reagan. Which do you think had a greater impact on your 2nd Amendment Rights?

This traitor rode in to office on tthe coattails of the Tea Party as a "Conservative" and dumped us as soon as he got in office. Your job is done, Toomey. Go collect you payoff as a lobbyist or consultant, now.

"BRENNAN: Is there a risk that the Republican Party becomes associated with gun violence, if you can’t get those votes?"

Asks the shill for the party of gang bangers, drug cartels and soft on crime soros DAs!🤣

“With the Senate within their grasp - they throw it away.”

Toomey, Burr, Portman, Shelby, and Blunt are retiring this year. There is no penalty for them to vote for the gun control package as they will never face the voters again. Add Romney, Collins, and Murkowski whose voters seem willing to tolerate anything they chose to say or vote in favor of.

Lindsay Graham still has over 4 years before he faces the voters again so he might just choose to be a “maverick bipartisan” if those listed above vote for the bill. He might bring a few others who aren’t facing the voters this year or who already intend to retire before they face the voters again and haven’t announced their retirement plans. Considering the above is certainly possible half the Republicans will vote for the “bipartisan” gun bill.

If the bill includes the provision opening up firearm manufacturers to liability for the use of their products, the firearms industry will be quickly bankrupted by tort lawyers and leftist judges. Then the focus of the left will be on ammunition makers.

Ohio has The Wimpy Portman who is retiring and doesn’t care what happens to us after a “progressive “ destruction of the US Constitution. I’m sure he’ll vote us down the river.

My response to Toomey:

Hope into your right hand and sh!t into your left and see which one fills up first.

Just another virtue-signaling POS. Why can’t they all just die from COVID?

Toomey is a poster child for why the GOPe should never hold Congress.

There will be plenty of “compromise”. And it will be the usual. We give up more rights in exchange for the Demoncrats not taking all of our rights.

This will throw it away. I wish people understood that even if repukes win in the mid term they will only be able to slow Joey down. Fact is, they won’t. They will help Joey and then we will lose big in 2024

They quite simply are not on the side of the people.

I’m a northerner who moved to Arkansas. I earned everyone “don’t trust people like me”.

The northern gop is what I call “the but conservative”. They preach it, “...but...” there is always an exception.

“Abortion is wrong but sometimes it’s necessary” and crap like that. Northerners do not have moral absolutes.

If republicans had spines they would demand that the very first new provision is that all gun laws, old and new,
that apply to the general populace will now also apply equally to everyone else.

"Everyone Else" means everyone including politicians, elected officials, bureaucrats, elites and their armed personal protection.

NO EXCEPTIONS! Equal treatment for all!

And republicans should demand that democrats support such a provision because they do love to lecture us endlessly about the need for equity!
