The father of the 18-year-old gunman who killed 21 people at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, this week wants the world to know he is sorry. In an interview with The Daily Beast on Thursday, Salvador Ramos said, “I just want the people to know I’m sorry man, [for] what my son did.”
“I never expected my son to do something like that,” Ramos, 42, added. “He should’ve just killed me, you know, instead of doing something like that to someone.”
He said he did notice one change in his son in recent months: a pair of boxing gloves he’d purchased and started testing out at a local park. “I said, ‘Mijo, one day somebody’s going to kick your ass,’” Ramos recalled. “I started seeing different changes in him like that.”
“They killed my baby man,” he said. He added: “I’m never gonna see my son again, just like they’re not gonna see their kids. And that hurts me.”
He said his son had a girlfriend in San Antonio, whom he and his family had been to visit, but he did not comment further on the teenager’s social life, which classmates said had rapidly been declining. He added that he was speaking out because “I want my son’s story out there.” “I don’t want them calling him a monster... they don’t know nothing, man,” he said. “They don’t know anything he was going through.”

The father deserves to be forgiven because he asked for it and is truly repentant and sorry. His son will face judgment soon for his crimes.

The mother is a POS nutcase too. Like there’s actual reasons to slaughter little 10 yr old kids???????
It doesn't matter what he was going through. Nothing excuses what he did.
Yes I read the same, Ramos tried to initiate physical altercations. I chalk Ramos’ problems up to a dysfunctional family, likely prenatal exposure to drugs, very likely drug use as a teen (his mother was an addict, so the stuff was around) and possibly some inherited mental illness (mom was a druggie, there is a partial genetic component). This is about the most messed up family I have heard of.

I feel like he’s sorry after the fact. Where was he when his son was having problems? Why didn’t he take any responsibility for raising his son?
My experience with my kids does not indicate the kids did exactly what the parents wanted. What we found was that the kids would listen and do exactly what they wanted to do. Sometimes it was what we wanted and encouraged them to do...other times not at all. They never did use the parents’ knowledge and previous discussions with them as guideposts as far as I am aware.
I would take it with a grain of salt if the parents can be held completely responsible.
When I was a kid your parents could spank your butt if you misbehaved. If your neighbors saw you do something bad, they told your folks and they sparked your butt. Soon you figured out not to do bad things.

It seems these last two shooters were on Discord being programed by the deep state. Proving that is the only way this kid gets out of being called a monster.
