One year ago today, the leaders of the British Columbia First Nation Band Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc announced the discovery of a mass grave of more than 200 Indigenous children detected at a residential school in British Columbia.
“We had a knowing in our community that we were able to verify. To our knowledge, these missing children are undocumented deaths,” Rosanne Casimir, chief of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, said in a statement on May 27, 2021.
“This is the biggest fake news story in Canadian history,” Flanagan told The Post. “All this about unmarked graves and missing children triggered a moral panic. They have come to believe things for which there is no evidence and it’s taken on a life of its own.”

WE did the same thing on mass graves supposedly slaughtered by the Serbs. It was not that massive, and the people who killed and filled, were not Christians.
If you start digging deeply into almost any part of “history” it turns out to be a pack of lies written by people with the power to create the lies and make them stick.
Not debunked so much as unproven allegations: claim made but no follow-up investigation started.

I was looking for it but can’t find it. I may not have replied to it. If I remember correctly it was a woman and she said something along the lines of all catholic churches needed to be burned for what they did.

The “bodies” are apparently the results of irregularities found by ground penetrating radar. According to the article, no ground truth has been attempted. The “science” may well be a figment of peoples imagination. If you don’t dig, you really do not know what is there.
The crime isn’t shown by any GPR weird stuff. The crime was taking the children from their families decades ago. We live in a town where children were brought in from reservations. Up until the 60s they were not allowed to go downtown or into any facility in town. It was wrong.
