fter a White House statement appeared to walk back President Joe Biden's commitment to help defend Taiwan from a Chinese invasion, several Republicans are calling for a firm commitment to a military response, should one be needed.
During a news conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Monday, Biden was asked if he was willing to "get involved militarily" to defend Taiwan, and he responded that he was.
"That's the commitment we made," the president said.
But shortly after Biden made the remark, a White House official released a statement saying: "As the President said, our policy has not changed. He reiterated our One China Policy and our commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also reiterated our commitment under the Taiwan Relations Act to provide Taiwan with the military means to defend itself."

Before we go to war with China, maybe it would be a good idea to manufacture essential products domestically first.
Biden is clearly not in charge of anything. His people keep cutting his legs out from under him, letting everyone know what the president “really meant”. Which always seems to be the complete opposite of what Joe actually said.

This can be done in quite a subtle way.
Problem, though, is Biden is not president in multiple ways.
In the way he is not in charge of anything, whatever he says doesn’t matter.
The issue needs to, and can be, settled without war or military.
Trump/Pompeo were moving there.

Nah, we only pissed away about a third of them. And we can ramp up to make more of them quickly and easily. I mean, it's not something complicated like baby formula that latter of which is why dopey Joe hasn't been able to ramp up production.
