A veteran Russian diplomat has resigned over what he called the "disaster" of his nation's invasion of Ukraine.
Boris Bondarev, 41, said he had "never been so ashamed of my country" and the "aggressive war" waged by President Vladimir Putin's forces.
...Bondarev said those who decided to launch the war "want only one thing - to remain in power forever, live in pompous tasteless palaces, sail on yachts comparable in tonnage and cost to the entire Russian Navy, enjoying unlimited power and complete impunity".

We have countries to be ashamed of, for different reasons, but still ashamed.
“want only one thing - to remain in power forever, live in pompous tasteless palaces, sail on yachts comparable in tonnage and cost to the entire Russian Navy, enjoying unlimited power and complete impunity”.

Sounds like Democrats....
Boris Badunov? Did Natasha quit too?
So he’s not badunov for Putin.
I don’t doubt for a moment that many top Russian officials are disgusted about the war. But I’ve seen that letter a few times before on Facebook. Same font, and same paper color.
But it was some businessman complaining about Biden. Or some scientist warning of a catastrophe. So unfortunately I must question the authenticity of this particular letter.
A man of honor doesn’t want to be in with a bunch of criminal thugs.
I thought that name sounded familiar! Yes, he was the villain in those cartoons!
bttt
Hah!
If this guy has never been embarrassed of his country, I’m guessing he’s never once traveled out of it.
But it was some businessman complaining about Biden. Or some scientist warning of a catastrophe. So unfortunately I must question the authenticity of this particular letter.
Good catch. Western disinformation campaign.
I admit, I wondered about it. Diplomats lie as a matter of policy, all the time. It comes with the job.
Not a fake, the fellow actually resigned and this was in Russian newspapers too.
Does not make this newsworthy -— unknown person, a minor clerk, at 41 one does not reach top positions yet.
Could you imagine the economy if Russia just gave up their side of the war? Gas prices would plummet. There would be rejoicing in the streets. I hope this does happen sooner rather than later, but I don’t think the west would let it happen. You never want to kill your milking cow for meat until it doesn’t give milk anymore.
I thought the primary activity of Foreign Offices of all countries was to lie.
Boris Bondarev
There are still some people of conscience left in Russia.
Obviously, Putin and his minions must kill them.
Also sounds like Caligula and Nero.
They both met untimely ends as do most evil power hungry dictators.
A succinct list of global leftist elite who absolutely will continue to seek both global governance and ascendancy over it —
— Government chosen, EU global socialist/social marxist elite (Brussels)
— Supreme Soviet descendant Kremlin Oligarchy with its loyal FSB elite, and possibly the one man who in reality may well be the most wealthy individual in the world - Putin
— Xi and the exclusive Maoist/Marxist Chinese Politburo elite, and their quiet but globally pervasive MSS shield
— US global socialist elite, and their near formal and complete control over what is still the world’s most dominant economy and military
Smoke and mirrors aside, all are ideologically and historically narcissists/sociopath leftist, (and powerful central government control over all resoirce redistributionist), all are nearly untouchable (all attaining near total control over elections), and all seek exclusive ascendancy over what is to be single global socialist government architecture with totalitarian enforceability (subjugation and enslavement of all individuals and societies).
How could anything possibly get worse... /S
Leftist tools gotta “leftist tool”, regardless of who their real leftist boss is.
Vindmans were anti-American/anti-liberty leftist tools for sure.
The real question had to who they answered amongst a bunch of folks within multiple agencies, was who did they really work for.
Personally, since the early 2000’s, I have been involved in taking down multiple Russian and Ukrainian nationals working for multiple Russian services, and also for the highest bidder. The highest bidder types were always harder to pin down.
