Vindmans were anti-American/anti-liberty leftist tools for sure.
The real question had to who they answered amongst a bunch of folks within multiple agencies, was who did they really work for.
Personally, since the early 2000’s, I have been involved in taking down multiple Russian and Ukrainian nationals working for multiple Russian services, and also for the highest bidder. The highest bidder types were always harder to pin down.

The real question amongst a bunch of CI folks within multiple agencies, was more related to who did they really work for.
Personally, since the early 2000’s, I have been involved in taking down multiple Russian and Ukrainian nationals working for multiple Russian services, who had made it to high influence positions within both the Pentagon, and into various US IC locations.
Some of these had come to the US as young teens.
The hardest to go after were the “highest bidder” types.
The highest bidder types were always harder to pin down, and usually had more political connections, but not exclusively.
