A farmer in Montgomery County, Maryland, is offering a reward of up to $50,000 to find the person who vandalized their farm equipment last month.
on the night of April 21 and was spotted climbing on top of a tanker truck used for fertilizing fields.
The next day, the farm’s owner found that the tanker had been contaminated with herbicide, but only after the farmer had used the truck to fertilize about 1,000 acres of corn.

It COULD be another farmer looking to buy this farmer out.
I would start with the fertilizer supplier. They may have shipped the wrong the product.
too risky or no food plants left to burn? time for them to start attacking individual farmers.
More likely involved local belligerents.
Sounds like eco-terrorist to me, as well.
On a side note, someone needs to tell the idiot “writer” of this that the pronoun “their” is plural, so he should have used the singular “his” for the antecedent, the singular noun “farmer.”
Nah. You can go to TSC and buy a gallon of 50% glyphosate or 2,4-d + trichlophyr for $150 or less. And you wouldn’t need much.
I am going with eco terrorist. Whoever it is should be shot on sight.

As a young kid I would walk for miles through abandoned farms with my .22 or .410; sometime bring home a rabbit or squirrel or two for dinner.
