Former White House counsel John Dean, who was imprisoned for his role in the Watergate scandal, said Friday on CNN’s “Don Lemon Tonight” that Rudy Giuliani may have been given immunity while discussing former President Donald Trump’s one-time personal attorney’s nine-hour interview with the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Anchor Don Lemon said, “Nine hours, as a matter of fact, more than nine hours, that’s quite a long time. Does that sound like someone who is taking the Fifth, or is he actually answering questions?

Maybe not but they can give it in order to remove the fifth defense. Can't refuse to comment if you are in no danger so the fifth no longer is a defense against making statements that might incriminate you.

That was from a 1989 interview about Dean's 1976 book "Blind Ambition", for Colodny upcoming "Silent Coup" in 1992. Even when Dean insists he is telling truth, at best he still gets caught making not exactly innocent looking mistakes, and tries to cover up for them up anyway.

I try not to buy books that the "authors" have not even read themselves. (That's probably almost everything that has come out of DC for the last 70 years. Not sure most of the book buyers even read them.)
