The final Emerson College Poll of very likely Republican primary voters found the Trump-endorsed candidates with plurality support in their respective elections for U.S. Senate and Governor. In the primary race for US Senate, Mehmet Oz holds 28% support, followed by Kathy Barnette with 24%, and David McCormick with 21%. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided, and were asked a follow-up question on who they are leaning towards. With their support allocated, Oz increases his support to 32%, followed by Barnette with 27%, and McCormick with 26%.

I’ve been getting really stupid texts from the McCormick PAC. Every day they send garbage polling results or dirt on his opponents.

Thanks for making it easy — for me it’s down to Oz or Barnette.

Bwahahaha you keep telling yourself that.

You probably don’t realize it, since you don’t live in PA, but I am sure you know and understand the state way better than those of us who do, but Trump’s endorsement amounted to nothing more than few percentage points in the Primaries in this race.

Oz is a dog that won’t hunt, as is McCormick. They have spent about 60 Million to convince GOP voters to support them, to basically be sitting around 20% the entire cycle.

OZ was BOOED at Trump’s rally here when they did a joint appearance, and Yea, in spite of what some want to claim, it did indeed happen.

Oz is a dog that doesn’t hunt, and will never ever motivate turnout needed to win this state, only way Oz or McCormick can win a general election here against Fetterman is if the D brand is so damaged by Biden and the Economy that a ham sandwich would win as long as it has an R by its name.

The disenfranchised voters in the T here who engaged and showed up to vote for Trump are not going to show up for OZ.. and a LOT of otherwise reliable R voters aren’t going to pull the lever for him either.

Tomorrow we will see if Trump’s endorsement of a bad candidate can even get them through the primary here.

Lots of people here seem to hate all 3 major PA senate candidates. I don’t know why that is.

“not many here want Oz to win”

Bullshit, speak for yourself.

I have not made up my mind — but definitely NOT McCormick.

Fake poll.

You’ll find out tomorrow, in the only poll that really counts.

Trump is dragging Oz over the finish line. Barnette got her votes the old fashion way, by speaking directly to the people of Pennsylvania. Oz is a joke. He can’t articulate conservative values without his notes. Muhammad Oz would be in 4th place if not for Trump. /spit

Lets do this the easy way. Lets see a show of hands of how many want Dr Oz to be the Senator from PA.

Depends on who you are talking with. OZ will not win on FR, that’s for sure. But my guess is PA is not exactly right of middle republicans. Barnette would have a better chance in a red state versus Dr Oz.

Wonder what all the Barnette supporters will post on Wednesday if she loses. If Barnette wins the primary, I will add her name to this list.

Roy Moore
Todd Akin
Ken Cuccinelli
Richard Mourdock
Christine O’Donnell
George Allen
Joe Miller
Ken Buck
Alan West

Usually if a poster doesn’t like someone that Trump is pushing there are screams of Never Trumper. But Oz is so hated that this little phenomenon is disappearing for the moment

All we want any of these potential nominees to do if elected is vote rock solid conservative and constitutionally. No back stabbing us in the back or drifting into leftism compromises. Im ok with any of them if they meet that criteria.

Then see post #29 what I will have to do to add to my list of republican losers in general. All of them made it possible for a LEFTY LIBERAL DEMOCRAT to win in general and get power to push liberal agenda.

And also raise hands how many think Barnette will prevail in general versus a liberal democrat in blue PA.

You do whatever you have to do...

The whole “vote for my guy even though he’s a turd, but he’s not as big of a turd as the other guy” is a no sale argument.

This is PA, we’ve held our noses and lived through enough turds, Specter, Toomey, Santorum... a lot of people here aren’t going to do it any more.

OZ is a TURD, so much of a TURD that even at a TRUMP RALLY he got BOOED...

This guys not selling and hasn’t sold since day one... the idea he’s a shoe in in the fall if he manages the nomination is laughable.

I completely agree. It will be interesting to see the Republican turn out in the T. That will be an indicator of the size of the bloodbath that Democrats face in November. Rural areas in other states have had huge turn outs.

Since I don’t live in PA all I want is someone who can win in the general election and put one more state in the R camp in the Senate. Trump knows what he’s doing because like him, Oz has the name recognition to make that a possibility.

Once elected, everything is negotiable.

I agree, the senate race here, if it is Oz or McCormick as the nominee, is my bellweather... if they are the nominee and win, then it will be an absolute DISASTER for democrats, because it means the election has nothing to do with anything that repudiating Biden and the Economy, nothing else matters at all, and democrats will be swept up and down the ballot all over the place... races that aren’t even supposed to be competitive will see GOP candidates win. If that happens I would not be surprised if the GOP pick up or flirt with triple digit gains in the house.

If however, Oz or McCormick are the nominee and lose, the dems will still be in for a bad night, but it’s not going to be an absolute complete bloodbath as it could be.

These polls are used by the cheaters. Meaning let them think they're winning by 5% which the cheaters want it to look like a close race.

The "upset" happens when the cheaters over estimated their own polls. Which is how Trump won in 2016 followed by the Russian hoax.

The susquehanna poll that came out today is far more believable.

In it it shows Barnette gaining 5 to 3 vs Oz, which is believable.... any poll showing Oz outpacing anyone nearly 2 to 1 this week is bogus... as laughable as the 2016 polls that showed Hillary up 10 in GA.

The most interesting part of the Sus poll is, that it actually showed the undecideds going way up vs the Trafalgar poll last week... from 86% committed, to only 73% committed... and showed McCormick losing nearly half his support..... which if true that means his backers are conceding he’s out, but since the combined gains elsewhere aren’t anywhere close to his losses, and undecideds actually went up 13 points as well, that doesn’t bode well at all for OZ... IMHO. IF you haven’t committed to mcCormick or Oz by now after all the money they both spent, its not likely you are going to..

I definitely trust Sus over Emerson any day of the week, that poll just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Either way we see what the people have to say tomorrow night.
