With two weeks to go before the hotly contested Pennsylvania Republican Primary, a new poll shows that race is now a statistical 3-way tie between Dr. Mehmet Oz, Kathy Barnette, and Dave McCormick.

According to the new Trafalgar Group poll, Trump endorsed Oz was at 24.5 percent, Barnette was at 23.2 percent and McCormick was at 21.6 percent in the race to be the nominee for the seat of retiring GOP Senator Pat Toomey.

The survey was conducted between May 6 and May 8. The poll consisted of 1080 likely 2022 GOP primary voters, had a response rate of 1.44 percent and a margin of error of 2.99 percent.

Pundits theorized that Barnette is surging due to her recent debate performance and Oz was falling due to his heavy negatives with Republican voters.

Yes, Barnette has been so impressive. The only honest candidate and true conservative, too!

With the right support, she could win.

“Going against the Trump back candidate is a sin here on FR.”

Hmmm... I don’t see that at all. I didn’t do a spreadsheet or anything, but it seems that the majority here are against Oz. The majority were against Trump-endorsed Morgan Ortagus, until TN ousted the carpetbagger RINO from the ballot. There have been others.

OZ has just too many negatives..as the 17th approaches people are taking notes and don't like what they see.

But but but, Hannity thinks Oz walks on water. Hannity endorsed him first and then Trump came along and endorsed Oz. I'm thinking Trump endorsed Oz because Hannity endorsed him and Hannity and Trump are friends. Hannity claims he didn't endorsed Oz because Oz is his friend. During chinese virus, Hannity had Oz on his show just about every day and would call him in the wee hours to get him to find medication etc for Hannity's friends.

Going against the Trump back candidate is a sin here on FR. If the messiah has spoken you must obey.

The crowd at the Westmoreland County Rally last Saturday night booed oz when Trump introduced him.

The producers turned up the music to drown them out but the boos got louder.

I've watched a lot of Trump's rallies, and have never seen his crowd turn on him.

It was rainy and cold and muddy and thousands of Trump fans showed up.

If Trump wasn't there, you could have delivered the whole crowd in a taxi.

oz couldn't draw flys and I have no idea why Trump picked him except maybe Ivanka likes him.

I love Trump. but he is wrong on this one; remember he also picked Jeff Sessions and followed it up with fat boy Barr, so he makes mistakes.

Yeah, it is and what the hell do you mean with that crack?

Do you think that us gun toten, Bible carrying, tobaccy chewen red necks are not capable of voting for a black woman?

I don't know if you are a racist or just play one on TV, but that was insulting, so stay in Canada.

Name recognition.

Hey, we both had TV shows.

I must confess, he (Trump) annoyed me when I heard he was backing Oz. Why would he do that?

She finally got some exposure during the debates and people loved what they saw.

McCormick and OZ are both poor candidates

Unfortunately not much money for her to capitalize but I am hopeful she will pull off the upset

I think that may have been a little unfair. I took the comment to mean that Pennsylvania in general votes for more liberal candidates. Arlen Specter for 30 years, then Pat Toomey, who was to the right of Specter but voted as a moderate. Santorum was iffy. And I forget the governor’s name who went on to be head of Homeland Security, Mr. Moderate Milquetoast.

Would Oz or Barnette be more likely to win in November. Personally, I would go for broke and go with Barnette, since it’s a Republican wave year and she could be swept in. But Trump may have thought differently, and at the time, she wasn’t making much of a splash. Not so anymore. I hope she takes the primary!

Love Legit President Trump, sometimes he's just wrong though. This is one of those times. As we've seen before, sometimes those he endorses end up stabbing him in the back.

Don't let that happen again. Say no to Dr Oz.

“I suspect Barnette is the least likely of the three to win in November. This is Pennsylvania, folks.”

Why? Because she’s a woman? Because she’s black?

Her mother was raped at age 11 and did not abort Kathy.

I'm planning on voting for Barnette, but now that she's getting some name recognition, she has to make the most of the moment and fill in the blanks to voters about her qualifications for office and why she is the best candidate. The dems and media are more than happy to set up a string of gotcha traps for her like they did for Todd Akin and Christine O'Donnell, and this election (where the alternative is most likely going to be an outright socialist) is too important for an "I'm not a witch" moment.

I’ll agree, from a conservative standpoint. Can she pull off a Trump 2016? We may see. 🙂

Thank you for posting the unvarnished truth. I had believed that Trump would come back as a better and wiser man. The problem as I see it is these past 2 years have only served to encourage a powerful desire to win at any cost and that he is willing to forget one of the reasons he was so beloved when he was elected president. Dr. Oz is not and never has been a “conservative”. Trump is endorsing a celebrity type over a qualified candidate who would actually serve the people they are sent to serve. Letting RINOs in through the backdoor is like committing adultery only once. No big deal, right? The thing is you can never say you are a faithful spouse again.

You proved my point... no self thought just do as you’re told.

I like Trump, voted for him and will do so again if he runs but he’s not right 100% of the time. He’s made some big mistakes like endorsing OZ because he’s a friend and the whole vaccine BS.

I’m quite capable of using rational thought and I vote who I want, not who I’m told.

DJT and his team have a plan. I don’t know it, but I will conjecture with my .02c.

They switched an endorsement about a week ago in Ohio. The enemedia labeled it as an ‘accidental endorsement’.
Trust nothing in the enemedia MSM, including fox.

If between now and the upcoming election, DJT switches from oz to another, with all 3 running fairly even, it will have the effect of picking the winner, regardless of who is endorsed today.
