Russia Tensions With Israel May Intensify as Kremlin Denies Putin's Apology
Newsweek ^ | 5/6/2022 | OE STROZEWSKI

he Kremlin denied Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett for Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's remark that Adolf Hitler may have had "Jewish blood."

A Kremlin statement issued Thursday detailing a phone conversation between Putin and Bennett did not mention any apology. Additionally, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the leaders' talks were "exactly as disclosed" in the statement, The Cradle reported.

The denial could intensify already strained tensions between Russia and Israel that stemmed from Lavrov's controversial remarks. The conflict may cause Russia to lose a key Middle East ally in Israel, which has so far taken somewhat of a mediator role in the Russia-Ukraine war by expressing support for Ukraine while refraining from publicly criticizing Moscow.

Lavrov made the comments during an interview with the Italian news channel Zona Bianca on Sunday. He compared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Hitler, even though Zelensky is Jewish.

"The fact that Zelensky is Jewish does not negate the Nazi elements in Ukraine," Lavrov said. "I believe that Hitler also had Jewish blood."

The comments led to swift criticism from Israel. Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid condemned the remarks in an interview with the Israeli news site Ynet as "a terrible historical mistake" and "an unforgivable, scandalous statement."

Russia has since fired back at Israel, accusing the country of supporting what it described as "the neo-Nazi regime" in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.

Ohh! they called them a bad name. Let’s declare war! Fortunately, the Israelis are not as childish as you are.

This says it all about Russia and Putin. Never trust or believe them. They are aligned China, Iran and N Korea. All enemies of free people.
The Putin cult will say anything to deny facts.

“Ohh! they called them a bad name. Let’s declare war!”

That’s not what Russia needs to be concerned about. Israel is one of the few 1st world nations that actually still maintained a fairly cordial relationship with Russia. That’s probably a thing of the past now, and Russia can’t really afford to lose any more friends right now.

“The Kremlin denied Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized “

“A Kremlin statement issued Thursday detailing a phone conversation between Putin and Bennett did not mention any apology.”

Not mentioning “any apology” doesn’t sound like a denial - but then I’m not a Neocon, so maybe something I’m missing?

What it’s a sign of is that Putin doesn’t share all of the Jew-hate that his fellow Russians take for granted. Putin is in jeopardy.

With friends like that, who needs enemies? Like we were friends with Ukraine, at least as far as our corrupt government could use them. Now we just use the Ukrainians as cannon fodder. Again, with friends like us, who needs enemies.

Don’t kid yourself, Israel and Russia are hardly bosom buddies, but at the moment both countries see it in their interests not to engage in open hostility with each other.

Ezekiel 38:1-6

1And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him 3 and declare that this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with all your army—your horses, your horsemen in full armor, and a great company armed with shields and bucklers, all brandishing their swords. 5Persia, Cush, and Put will accompany them, all with shields and helmets, 6as well as Gomer with all its troops, and Beth-togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.

Coming soon...

Like I pointed out on May 5, I don't seem to be able to find any of Putin's exact words of apology quoted by any news source, or even paraphrased, anywhere.

However, I did find that there are several statements in both Putin and Bennett's own words about the subject of the meeting: Russia - Israel Relations.

Quoted as follows: Putin and Bennett emphasized the "special significance" of May 9, when Russia and Israel commemorate the victory of Europe and Russia against Nazi Germany, during the conversation on Thursday. The Kremlin stressed that the two countries "carefully preserve the historical truth about the events of those years and honor the memory of all the fallen, including victims of the Holocaust."

"The President of Russia recalled that of the 6 million Jews tortured in ghettos and concentration camps, killed by the Nazis during punitive operations, 40% were citizens of the USSR, and asked to convey wishes of health and well-being to the veterans living in Israel. Naftali Bennett, in turn, noted the decisive contribution of the Red Army to the victory over Nazism," said the Kremlin.

Putin also congratulated Bennett on the occasion of Israel's 74th Independence Day. According to a statement by the Kremlin, the two expressed mutual interest in the further development of friendly relations between Russia and Israel and the maintenance of useful contacts between the leadership of the two countries.

I also invited you and anyone else to post and Link a transcript of Putin's "apology".

Much to my surprise, no one did. The idea that Israel and Russia are having a falling out are just wishful thinking on the part of the local GloboHomoNazi Warmongers.

Bennett’s official statement:

“The Prime Minister accepted President Putin’s apology for Lavrov’s remarks and thanked him for clarifying the President’s attitude towards the Jewish people and the memory of the Holocaust.”

For years, I’ve viewed that scripture in the same context as you have just presented it.
I’ve been a bit surprised at Russia’s trouble conquering their neighbor. Maybe the globalist media is exaggerating their losses, but if not... When is Russia going to have anything to send that far away?
Just curious of your thoughts.

Rereading the article, it still does not say the Kremlin explicitly denies it. Sounds more of an ommition, pushed by Lavrov.
