A Forbes review of hundreds of recent TikTok livestreams reveals how viewers regularly use the comments to urge young girls to perform acts that appear to toe the line of child pornography — rewarding those who oblige with TikTok gifts, which can be redeemed for money, or off-platform payments to Venmo, PayPal or Cash App accounts that users list in their TikTok profiles
It’s “the digital equivalent of going down the street to a strip club filled with 15-year-olds,” says Leah Plunkett, an assistant dean at Harvard Law School and faculty associate at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, focused on youth and media. Imagine a local joint putting a bunch of minors on a stage before a live adult audience that is actively giving them money to perform whatever G, PG or PG-13 activities they request, she said. “That is sexual exploitation. But that’s exactly what TikTok is doing here.”
The transactions are happening in a public online forum open to viewers almost anywhere on the planet. Some of the demands are explicit — like asking girls to kiss each other, spread their legs or flash the camera — and some harder to detect, masked with euphemisms. Commenters say “outfit check” to get a complete look at a girl’s body; “pedicure check” to see their feet; “there’s a spider on your wall” to get girls to turn around and show their rears; and “play rock-paper-scissors” to encourage girls to flirt-fight or wrestle with each other. Phrases like “put your arms up” or “touch the ceiling” are often directed at girls in crop tops so viewers can see their breasts and stomachs.

Yes sir! I took the gloves off about 12 years ago with regards to teachers. It’s nonsensical to assume that it’s just the local, state and federal education labor leaders are the problem with the state of education in America, Hell the entire western world education systems with few exceptions.
I have lost friends over the way I have attacked my youngest daughters middle school and high school teachers. I always drilled down what was going on in school with all 4 of my daughters. We have a very wide gap between the kids. Ages 53-29. The youngest had the most radicalized teachers that I confronted almost monthly. I judged the school year by how many times I needed to intervene into the insanity or threaten to have my attorney come talk to them, which he did twice, the school administration needed to know I wasn’t just hot air, I would take them to court.
My daughters were smart, good kids without any discipline issues or drugs ever, yet our rural schools envied the problems they heard about from urban schools and they tried like crazy to treat the rural kids like they were the typical urban 13%er’s. Teacher inspired and driven. I wouldn’t put up with it. I join you in thanking Libsoftiktok!
My oldest daughter showed me and my wife her 11 year old granddaughter, our first great-granddaughter, group of TikTok videos she has posted pantomiming teen songs all dressed up with weird hair and extreme makeup Friday night when she came down for the weekend. They were very typical of what all my 4 daughters did with their mom’s clothes and makeup before socialist media.
However and even though I had no idea there was a darker version like described in this article, my great granddaughter’s video felt different to me. Maybe because it was posted on socialist media rather than on a VHS tape or an early digital camera. Now, I see why. I think it’s time to talk to my daughter and granddaughter about our great granddaughter’s video hobby before trouble arrives.
This IMHO, is a result of cause and effect of the crazy self esteem programs initiated in schools in the mid-nineties and is still being used in one form or another today. You know the 2 + 2 = 5 might not be right but you are super awesome for trying…participation trophies and on and on.
Funny but no one thinks I am totally insane any more.
