President Joe Biden on Friday again spoke fondly of the old days when he served with segregationists in the United States Senate.
“Things have kind of changed since the days when I first got there,” he mused, recalling he was first elected at the age of 29.

How about Robert KKK Byrd?
He was buddies with all the good ole boys in the senate. He even voted against the civil rights act with them
Talk about being out to lunch. I keep hoping I’ll wake up from this nightmare, but no such luck.
They were ALL DEMOCRATS at the time!!! Thurmond changed his heart and turned Republican and had blacks working in his offices......BYRD was the GRAND KLEAGLE of the KKK and Hilliary and Joe’s best friend!! He even used the N word on a Sunday show!!

Biden: “I had lunch with Strom Thurmond and Jim Eastman once. We discussed civil rights and I found I really differed from them. They said that they simply wanted to allow people freedom of association, which meant that they wanted to be able to live apart from blacks. I told them that that was the wrong approach. The right approach is kill them in the womb. As many as possible! They acted as if this simple solution was horrifying. But they were the racists, not me. I have always been for a woman’s right to choose and support the right of black women to abort all their children, uhhh, if they want.”
Biden sponsored an amendment against school busing, which was a big issue in Delaware, and unpopular everywhere. Delaware was a slave state and he admittedly got along well with open segregationists. I don’t view it as a negative about Biden tbh.
Did Joe tell them that Strom was a life long Democrat until 1948 ???
