Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) said he was just "acting foolish, and joking" with "a friend" in response to a video he characterized as the latest hit piece meant to destroy his political career.
The 26-year-old congressman, who has been ensnared in a string of controversies in recent weeks, released a statement Wednesday appearing to confirm the authenticity of a short clip showing him naked in bed atop another man, getting physical and making noises.

Yeah, I always had PE early in the day. Maybe right before lunch or last period there’d be more goofing off because the lack of time pressure. Seems plausible, anyway.
Main point is this: the few guys I knew who dorked around and razzed each other making faggot jokes once in awhile all grew up straight, got married to actual biological women, and have kids.
My alma mater is all-boys. When guys don’t have to look good for the ladies, less attention is paid to making oneself presentable in street clothes, leaving more time for general rowdiness.
And that’s all I ever saw - general rowdiness, which often got pretty physical, like strong young bulls asserting dominance.
Not seen the video but 99% of the hits started coming when he exposed the very real cocaine parties in DC. Now both parties want him yesterday’s news.
I believe that EVERY new congressman or senator is blackmailed from DAY ONE. They’re told in no uncertain terms that they’re through if they don’t toe the deep state line (Dem or Rep, doesn’t matter). I wish Madison well.
I just saw the video. It’s on the Daily Mail. If it’s real and I guess Cawthorn has confirmed it, he’s finished as a politician and he’ll resign from Congress any day now. I still believe his cocaine fueled orgy invites, but I also think he swings both ways. He could weather the storm as a democrat, not as a Republican. Stick a fork in him, he’s done.
But he’s a gay-American! I would vote for him. Better than the baby-killers.

If all these stories were true the Democrats would be trying to get Cawthorn to switch parties. With the Democrats these type of actions are badges of honor.

All of a sudden scandals for Matt Gaetz. Marjorie Taylor Green, Cawthorn, Lauren Bobert, Next up Sarah Palin as soon as the Democrats can make up something scandalous.

When I think someone is trying to push me a certain way, my natural inclination is to do the opposite of what they want.
I don't think queers should be representatives in Congress, but if they want him out so bad, then maybe we should keep him.
That would certainly explain a lot of their behavior and why Washington DC was so adamantly against Judge Roy Moore becoming a Senator.
I've long noted they go to extraordinary lengths to torpedo any outsiders who want to reform the existing system.

That isn’t something men would do. In my generation, granted it was a long time ago, even being referred to as engaging in this type of behavior required a bruising fist fight.
The young man must have been half crazed to rebuke the rest of the compromised GOP crowd when his own nest is full of rotten eggs. Tillis and the Rino’s want to drive him out, and they are doing a good job of it.
