Russia is planning a military parade in the embattled city of Mariupol, Ukraine's intelligence service said on Wednesday.
The parade is set to be held in the south-eastern Ukrainian city on 9 May to coincide with Moscow's Victory Day Parade, which celebrates its victory over Nazi Germany in the Second World War.
Mariupol "will become the centre of celebrations", said the Ukrainian Military Intelligence (GUR) in a statement published on Telegram.

Audiences in Russia will also be shown footage of Mariupol rejoicing at having Russian troops in their city, it continued.

Russia is not announcing it, Ukraine intelligence is. So maybe they (Ukraine intelligence) is hoping some rabble-rousers will come and disrupt things.

I thought all the residents of Mariupol had fled except the ones trapped in the steel mill. I guess they will bus in “aupporters” from the areas they have managed to hold. Will they be told “rejoice” or die??

That’s ok I’ve seen enough war propaganda on both sides, mostly from the MSM, and the vast majority of it is pure bs. This is not good guys vs the bad guys, it’s bad guys vs worse guys, and in the areas being invaded by Russia, the Russian army is largely seen as the liberators.
