Any NATO Vehicle Coming to Ukraine With Weapons Will Be Considered Legitimate Target - Shoigu

Russia has repeatedly denounced the continuous flow of weapons into Ukraine from the West, saying that it adds fuel to the fire and derails the negotiation process. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that any NATO vehicle coming to Ukraine with weapons or equipment for Ukrainian forces will be considered a legitimate target for destruction.

"The United States and its NATO allies continue to pump weapons into Ukraine. I can confirm that any transport from the North Atlantic alliance that arrives in the country with weapons or materiel for the Ukrainian armed forces will be considered by us as a legitimate target for destruction," Shoigu said on Wednesday.

According to him, during the course of the special operation, the Russian servicemen have "shown courage and bravery, honourably fulfilling their military duty, and ensuring the safety of the civil population of Donbass." Earlier, Moscow warned that the West’s contribution of weapons to Ukraine threatens to undermine peace talks, not to mention the probability that they could fall into the wrong hands.

Since Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine in February, the US, its NATO allies, and the European Union, have increased weapons supplies to Ukraine.

On 3 May, the UK government announced that it will provide Ukraine with a $375 million military aid package. Recently, US President Joe Biden asked US Congress for $33 billion in emergency supplemental funding to support Ukraine, including $20 billion for military assistance. The request comes on top of about $4 billion in military aid the Biden administration has already earmarked for Ukraine, $3.4 billion of which came after Russia launched its military operation in late February.

The Russians should leave. Then they won’t have to worry about it.

Maybe if the US said this about Russian ships supplying North Viet Nam the war may have gone the other way. /s

I suspect this is behind the recent Russian attacks on rail lines. Attempt to disrupt resupply from Poland etc.

Well, yes. And we continue to advertise what is being sent, when and by what route. We seem determined to make the gesture while negating the aid at the same time. What do we really want for Ukraine? Maybe a long war for distraction at home and total destruction of Ukraine while giving the Russian army combat experience and the resulting tactical education.

No problem. Russkies have been saying this for a month now, and it’s still not proven they are even capable of hitting moving targets. So far, they are very good at hitting residential buildings and wiping out the entire family, or firing at a railway and wiping out the commuters with shrapnel but leaving the railway intact.

They can hit moving targets, they demonstrated this with their Baltic fleet leading up to the Battle of Tsushima Strait. Where during gunnery practice they shot the ship towing the target barge. Now leading up to that they engaged multiple fishing fleets under the assumption they were Japanese patrols, the first one was in the Baltic Sea, and then later at Dodger Banks. They largely missed everything, except their own ships.

How do they know what’s in them. Might as well take out ALL vehicles instead.

This is not a Russia vs Ukraine war.

The war would have been over in days if it were, with minimal destruction and minimal casualties.

This is a Russia vs USA/NATO/globalist billionaire war.

Can we please stop pretending that it isn't?

I didn’t think that really needed explanation, did it?

Not a fan of the Russians. They bloviate. A lot. Lots of sound a fury.

So they can hit moving targets...just not the ones they aim at?

Sounds about right.

Exactly.

Not only that, but in the Korean War there were a bunch of Soviet pilots flying MiG-15s against American jets and bombers. Additionally, Soviet PVO troops manned AA defenses on the ground.

The Russians should be glad that F-22s and F-35s are not providing ‘covert assistance’ to the Ukrainians…

--- "What do we really want for Ukraine?"

The far away resupppliers of weapons and munitions in many lands are licking their lips, as the money in a debt-washed world is being freed up to be used up in a war in which Ukrainians and Russians alike are losing lives, no matter what one's opinion of the conflict is.

Interesting how the bold neocons are emerging out of the Democrat and RINO hidey-holes to cheer war. As Mrs. Clinton foresaw, like Punxsutawney Phil, only recently a very protracted and debilitating war. And odd ball Noam Chomsky observed the only major voice here in the moment to push hard for a negotiated peace is Trump. Ah, war is indeed a racket.

Let's you and him fight.

By Russian logic, the continuous flow of weapons into Ukraine from Russia is undermining negotiations?

This is not a Russia vs Ukraine war.

Ah yes, the "we're losing because actually we're fighting the advanced military power of NATO and the USA" cope.

Next one will be, "Like the battle for Kyiv, the battle for the Donbass was a feint and actually there will be an invasion to take Odessa and Kherkov." This narrative has already begun:

A feint of a feint of a feint of a feint of a feint...

I am a vociferous consumer of Ukraine news, but have not seen any information on rail attacks. Please provide links.
