Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), the Senate Judiciary Committee’s top Republican, praised Roberts’s announcement Tuesday, saying on Twitter that the chief justice is right to investigate the “unprecedented SCOTUS leak” and that the inquiry “should be done quickly & thoroughly.”

I wouldn't be surprised if Roberts himself leaked it. Maybe not to the press, maybe to the white house and THEY leaked it to the press. He's an utterly political animal and I wouldn't put it past him to send them a copy and beg for something he could use to sway one of the Yes votes and they sort of shafted him by leaking it.

IMO the Progressives probably had the document for some time and released it at THIS time to coincide with the election primaries and campaigns. Quite a few probably knew something to coordinate their efforts. Protesters appear with pre-printed signs and go ape on cue. Primaries are today! Too convenient.

Let’s see...who to investigate for the leak? The 5 in favor of the decision or the 4 opposed to it? I can’t see a reason for the 5 to do it, and of the 4 it sounds like Roberts wouldn’t do it. I guess we’ll need to look at Breyer, Kagan, and Sotomayor and their staffs. My money is on Breyer as a parting shot before retirement.

If the timing was intentional, that means the leak really occurred months ago when a SCOTUS insider gave it to DNC insiders in order to coordinate the eventual release to the public at a time that would be most advantageous to Democrats.

The question is not only who inside SCOTUS leaked it, but whom in the DNC received it for future planning purposes?
