APOCALYPSE NOW Nuclear World War 3 is now a ‘REAL DANGER’ and Britain and Nato would be a ‘legitimate’ target, warns Putin chief

A NUCLEAR world war is now a "real" danger and Britain and Nato would be a "legitimate" target, Russia's foreign minister has warned.

In a chilling message, Sergei Lavrov said the risk of World War Three is now "considerable" and must not be "underestimated".

Lavrov accused Nato forces of "pouring oil on the fire" by supplying arms to Ukrainian troops - and claimed Russia wanted to prevent a nuclear war at all costs.

In an interview with Russian news agencies, he said: "This is our key position on which we base everything. The risks now are considerable.

"I would not want to elevate those risks artificially. Many would like that. The danger is serious, real, And we must not underestimate it."

And the war hawk said Britain and other Nato countries "would be a legitimate target" after "pumping weapons into Ukraine".

“When they say “We really, really, really mean it” for the 387th time you know they are bluffing. “

They may well be. But how sure are you? If not 100% there is a problem.

Because of the gravity of the possibility of being wrong, you must consider all of the options.

I, for one, consider Milley & Austin as not too bright, and given Milley’s habit of calling our enemies and chatting them up on strategic and tactical posture, I’m more than a little concerned about whether they are capable of responding competently - and how they may turn a bluff into a reality.

If you think that the USA would not have something to say if, for example, China were to set up shop in Mexico, then you are not capable of at least grasping how Russia may view some actions on the part of NATO.

I do not hold the view that one should attribute to insanity what may be deliberate. This goes for NATO and Russia.

I hope, but doubt that there is some serious diplomacy going on behind the scenes between the US/NATO and the Kremlin. It does not seem to me, based on rhetoric coming out of the Biden administration that we are engaging is any serious diplomatic efforts to prevent a wider conflict.

If not, it is appropriate to wonder “why?”

40 years of MAD worked because the Russians are not suicidal martyrs.

So do I, and they are legitimate targets. As are our surveillance planes. So far, the Russians have played nice.

It won’t last.

As far as a nuclear exchange, these brave cowboys saying it won’t happen will never be heard from again after the first bomb drops. Pretending you know what the other side will do is stupid and dangerous.

Have you seen putin lately? Looks and acts as bad as biden, but more even worse. I don’t think he’s rational at all.

“40 years of MAD worked because the Russians are not suicidal martyrs.”

Restraint is a two-way street. If you are counting on the Russians to be restrained, you should consider how restrained they are counting on NATO to be.

If everyone understands what the other will or will not do, then MAD can work.

“Did you forget that it was Obama who said we could absorb a nuclear attack?”

A very good point. I too believe that unless it is a nuclear attack on the US mainland we will do little. An attack on an eastern European nation supplying war material would not bring a nuclear response.

EMP strike on the US

And an EMP device does not have to be nuclear, it can use conventional explosives. How would we respond?

FAIL. Russia has always sided with our enemies and given them weapons and other support. They know how two faced and hypocritical they are being asking us to stay out, something they never did.

MAD almost didn’t work during the Cuban Missile Crisis. What most Americans think is that the Russians simply placed missiles in Cuba and expected the US to “Suck it up”.

The reality is that their placement of missiles in Cuba was a direct response to our placement of missiles in Turkey.

In the end, both were removed.

The Russians weren’t as crazy then as they were reported to be. They probably aren’t as crazy now as they are reported to be.

In Syria, the Russians set up shop not just to oppose the US, but also for a more practical reason - to prevent middle east natgas from traveling through Syria via pipeline to Europe, thereby avoiding dependence on Russia.

Indeed, Europe would be in a much better place now if they were able to receive ME natgas via a southern pipeline.

The media will portray not responding as "enlightened restraint"

correct. Russia is a cornered rat. Got to give it a way out. This includes the kleptocrats in charge if (big if) we can swing a deal to bring this war to a conclusion that restores the status quo ante bellum.

"We, the U.S., have problems. We will address our problems in the upcoming elections. We took back Virginia last year, and we will take back the Congress this fall."

What is your plan to address your problem of not seeing the difference between a flawed democracy and a dictatorship?

Sorry pal, but I don't see a helluva lot of difference between your "Flawed democracy and dictatorship.”

And my plans.? For the time being, play the part of the of the pamphleteer and pass along as much of the truth as I can afford to print in an effort to sway as many folks as possible to our side .. After that, go to the range as much as possible to get ready for the GREAT disappointment that’s going to take place after the next election..

Sure, I’ll go to the polls, just like every other sucker in the USA. But if you think it was “in your face” last time, brother you ain’t seen nothing yet.!

It won’t matter who you vote for, or even who wins.. It’s too late for that.. Those who running for office are mostly the friends and relatives of those who are already there.!! This train is on just ONE track and is going straight to HELL..! That’s what all those young military aged men coming across our southern border are all about..

But don’t let my negativism get in your way. You go on with the positive thinking and hoping for the best. But remember, I’m on your side, and my advice to you is, buy up lots of dried beans and caned soups with meat in them.. And buy several books on wild eatables.. We’re going to need all that, and lots more.. :(

Nope. Russia will attack the US. Under Biden, or a future liberal, the US won't get a single response fired towards Russia. The UK and the rest of Europe will immediately surrender the Russia.

I can see why you like Putin since you don’t think that the right to vote or freedom of speech mean much.
