The month of May won’t be a merry one for Michael Sussmann, one of Hillary Clinton’s top lawyers at her favorite election law firm Perkins Coie, who is facing a criminal charge of lying to the FBI when he passed information to the Bureau’s general counsel, James Baker. Sussman stated explicitly that he was acting as a “good citizen,” not as a lawyer for Trump’s election opponents.
Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.
The tip was false. It described a secret, traitorous back-channel connection between candidate Trump and the Kremlin and included some “white papers” as “proof.” But that deceit is not part of this criminal charge. Nor is Sussmann’s follow-up meeting with the CIA, where he also claimed to be a “good citizen” not representing anyone, and passed on the same false information, amplifying it with still more data about a secret Russian phone that was always near Trump. The CIA quickly determined the internet data was bogus and perhaps created by Hillary’s anti-Trump group. It also recognized that crucial data had been omitted to create a false impression and perhaps that some of the data had been made up or spoofed.
Sussmann is not being charged with that, at least not yet. Nor is he being charged with participating in a broader criminal conspiracy. Some filings by Special Counsel John Durham suggest he may be preparing such charges against Clinton’s larger network of hoaxers, but he hasn’t leveled those charges yet. He’s going after Sussmann first.
Although a single count of lying to the FBI might seem like a relatively minor charge, Durham is pursuing it for three important reasons. First, a false statement to the FBI is a felony in its own right, or, rather, it is if the statement “materially affected” a federal investigation. Second, Durham seems to have rock-solid evidence...

“Not in a conspiracy that is still active and operating.”
Precisely.....It’s surprising that so many on this forum are ignorant of that fact.
Nothing will change until HRC is perp-walked.... Then the beans will be spilled.
All of Billy’s babes will dish on HRC, so they can get whatever money he has squirreled away.
Meanwhile, bill fantasizes over governor hochul's buttocks.
Bkmk
Yep. DC is a big plantation where all the field hands serve on the juries.
I wonder what river they’ll find Sussmann floating down?
Or to incentivize others to forward now with their an proffers before Durham puts them in his cross hairs.
It’s all fun and games til someone loses a Weiner...or a process server shows up at their door with a trial subpoena.
Many don’t appreciate the delicate way Durham is proceeding, so that his case won’t be blown out of court by a good lawyer. And remember, these people may be crooked as hell but they are also some of the best lawyers in the country. And they have a LOT to lose so money is unlimited.
I guess someone has to. Although, compared to Monica, she is Raquel Welch.

Without the libtard crooks at the FBI running with this bogus unsubstantiated pile of manure wou can smell a mile away - it could have been stopped immediately 🤪
Kash Patel was interviewed by John Solomon friday and both he and Solomon brought up an interesting point.
The defendants are trying to hide behind attorney-client privilege but they cannot because “they” are the ones who leaked the information to a 3rd party AND because they perpetrated a fraud or engaged in a scheme to harm Trump there is no privilege.
If you release any information that is attorney-client privilege to a third party (i.e. - you tell the FBI) than it destroys all privilege.
It appears people are cooperating and every time they file something Durham releases another piece of damning evidence. Yeah, it’s slow as mud but I have to admit that I have been pretty impressed with his filings.
Your guess is as good as mine as to what happens and there is little chance any of the “big fish” are held accountable based on recent history.
Are we falling for this Durham stuff again? Very disappointing.
“Until I see people actually going to prison Im not believing anything.”
Ditto.
Still waiting on Lois Learner to be sent away. Crickets.....
That worked, thanks.

“Since that jury is in Washington, D.C., a city that voted almost unanimously for Hillary Clinton, there’s always a chance of ‘jury nullification.’ That is, the jury could recognize that a crime was committed but decide to acquit the defendant anyway.”
Unfortunately, I think that’s the money quote from the article. It would be a small miracle if that jury finds him guilty. And we know what the media will do if it goes the other way.
Next to these Democrats scumbags, eels are tar babies.
Are we falling for this Durham stuff again? Very disappointing. Not as disappointing as falling for the never ending Hunter Biden laptop saga. To keep the salivating uninformed peanut gallery distracted and uninformed.
Nothing may come of this in the end. But Sussman at least is having to sweat out this investigation and while he may have assurances the "fix" is in. The court system has a habit of going 50-50 on things. So until a verdict is actually reached or the case is thrown out by a judge. Sussman is living with some anxiety of how this will end up.
It may be some deterrent for the next yahoo who decides to play a game like this. No one wants to be dragged through these types of legal proceedings regardless of the outcome.
If it goes to trial that will be great. If we actually get a conviction well that's icing on the cake. But at least some parties to this atrocity were placed under the microscope.
“The wheels of justice grind slowly but fine.”
Or not at all as in this case.
Statute of limitations do not expire for Treason.
SOL is also extended for RICO conspiracy starting from last RICO act committed.
Durham knows what he’s doing.
Trump’s lawyers know what they’re doing.
