A “Stalinist” mass purge of Russian secret intelligence is under way after more than 100 agents were removed from their jobs and the head of the department responsible for Ukraine was sent to prison.
In a sign of President Putin’s fury over the failures of the invasion, about 150 Federal Security Bureau (FSB) officers have been dismissed, including some who have been arrested.
All of those ousted were employees of the Fifth Service, a division set up in 1998, when Putin was director of the FSB to carry out operations in the countries of the former Soviet Union with the aim of keeping them within Russia’s orbit.

If true (you always have to wonder about the BS factor)....what exactly would a fired FSB agent do at this point? You can’t even flip burgers at the Moscow McDonalds because they all closed.

Say what you will about the Russian system, at least there is a price to pay for incompetence; seems like in our intelligence services incompetence is not only tolerated, it is rewarded...
In contrast, how many US “intelligence” personnel lost their jobs after 9/11? Or the inept handling of Afghanistan? Probably zero.

Purged according to who? If the Times cited a source, it was in the section of the article protected by the paywall.
Was the source an unnamed GCHQ official? An anonymous FSB source, or was it published in Izvestia?
The trouble with this war is that there are literally zero credible sources.

While I’m pretty sure Norse v is Russian and maybe a few others, I don’t know if they are FSB. I would think that FSB folks would not be trolls, but don’t know enough

Very few posters here want to take the time to do their own research into this military operation. It’s so much easier to let the media just shovel it in.

It’s pretty obvious who the Russian trolls are
they never show any humanity or empathy
just hate and a thirst for more violence & misery
