President Biden and others traveling with him will wear a mask on his trip to New Hampshire on Tuesday, despite the federal mask mandate for travel being struck down this week.
“During transit on today’s trip, masking will be required in line with CDC guidance,” the White House told The Hill.
The president is traveling on Air Force One to Portsmouth, N.H., to visit the port authority at Portsmouth Harbor and deliver remarks on the infrastructure law. He will fly back to Joint Base Andrews to return to the White House on Tuesday evening.

How is it “despite”? The ruling allows you to wear a mask or not. Wearing one isn’t in spite of the ruling. This is: “During transit on today’s trip, masking will be required in line with CDC guidance.”

I doubt that CDC mask guidelines even extend to travel on private jets, especially Air Force One. One could imagine that Air Force One's ventilation and filtration system is top notch state-of-the-art. I wonder how many guidelines are being violated here:

I’m in the Spokane terminal right now. Looks like 97% of people dumped the diapers. About half of those still wearing them are under 25, including the Idaho girls tennis team
