Putin's defence minister Sergei Shoigu has had a 'massive heart attack not from natural causes' and TWENTY generals 'have been arrested' over bungled invasion

Shoigu is thought to have suffered a heart attack possibly caused by foul play

Russia's defence minister, 66, has been a close ally of Putin ever since 2012

He was a mainstay early in the invasion but has been largely absent for weeks

....hoigu, 66, is now thought to be in intensive care after suffering 'a massive heart attack' which 'could not have occurred due to natural causes', according to Leonid Nevzlin, suggesting Putin's longtime ally may have been the subject of an assassination attempt ordered by his boss.

Shoigu was last seen on yesterday on a video conference with Putin and other ministers about the development of the Arctic but did not speak, and there is speculation the Kremlin is using previously recorded footage of Shoigu since his withdrawal from public appearances weeks ago.

... 20 Russian generals have been arrested in Russia and charged with embezzling up to 10 billion dollars allocated to the war effort in Ukraine.

..the total embezzlement of funds for the preparation of [taking over the leadership of Ukraine]. Since 2014, about $10 billion (USD) allocated by Putin for the preparation of the blitzkrieg has been stolen.'

The consolidation of total power by Putin has begun in ernst.

You can take Putin out of the KGB, but you can’t take the KGB out of Putin.

Stalin lives!! Let the beheadings begin!!

That’s not what I meant. I meant things like the video game footage presented as real happenings, pictures from Lebanon of the big explosion there passed off as Ukrainian buildings destroyed, pictures of a gas explosion years ago presented as war damage, the legend of Snake Island, the “Ghost of Kiev” hoax that one of our astute Congressmen fell for. The media telling us Russia is getting their butts kicked and then reading about a thousand Ukrainian marine’s surrendering. The list is very long of false reports. The truth is that the Russians lie, the Ukrainians lie and the western media is at least as bad as both. Based on experience with lies so far it is hard for me to believe any single report from any media outlet on any Ukrainian events.

Daily Mail propaganda is always good for a laugh.

Too bad so many people take it as gospel.

A) The Russians are getting their collective butts wiped;
B) 1,000 Marines from the 36th NB did surrender because they were out of ammo and food plus being unable to link up with other units in Mariupol.

Falling for obviously fake stuff is not my problem and anyone with half a wit can see it as such.

The problem is that so much is fake that it is hard to tell. I gave obvious examples but they are not all obvious. All sides in this are good at propaganda. The Russians getting “their collective butts wiped” is probably BS, I don’t see them losing this. I guess it could happen. Look at us, we got our collective butts wiped recently by a collection of backwards goat herders. They even got our cool equipment so I guess Ukraine actually winning is not entirely out of the question. I think it is not likely but I have been wrong before.

I disagree vehemently about the US in Afghan - that’s on Biden, not the Military; no troops lost for over a year, Taliban on the run, Bagram secure. Then Russia Joe’s deliberate disaster.

The Russians getting their collective butts wiped is a reality, even if you don’t want to see it. No one loses that many men and equipment in 40+ days and can still claim to be a first rate military power. No one. And don’t go pointing at the UA losses - they are not supposed to be a first rate power, but third rate at best. That just compounds the Russian’s losses.

Biden was responsible as CIC but I don’t think anybody outside the US sees it as anything but a loss for us. It doesn’t make me happy to say that, I did 25 years in the Army and more than a couple years in Afghanistan but we didn’t win. It doesn’t matter how vehemently one disagrees with that assessment. The facts are that after 20 years of wasting our bold and treasure the Taliban hold all of Afghanistan and much of our equipment and we even left a bunch of Americans there. I would say that we lost. I used to serve on the old Inter-German border and back in the days we trained to fight the Russian led Warsaw Pact Armies. The take away for me was that Russians are historically concerned with achieving objectives, not so much avoiding collateral damage or casualties. They aren’t like us in that respect. We’ll see if that still holds and how this incursion plays out. I have actually been surprised by their restraint so far.
