Yes, they can’t stop illegals anymore than BP can, they just process them. But Abbott has them and DPS catching those committing a State crime and detaining them. Remember he had a prison cleared out to segregate them?
Awhile back I read some Sherriffs didn’t like or cooperate with this operation.

Agree. Now he’ll have to round them up. No easy task.

This should have been done years ago. Sending them to Joe Biden’s door in Delaware would be a good idea.

Better they should send them to the bedroom communities in which the swamp dwellers actually live.

True but you don’t know when and where they are coming in from, there is a reason the flights take place in the middle of the night

As governor he is commander of the Texas National Guard. Yes indeed, he could mobilize the National Guard to protect the United States Porter at Texas. Why he does not do that, please tell me.
We've been on the border for years now. Currently, between AGR, federal CoViD orders and the State border mission, a huge majority of the Texas NG is currently deployed.
To: Svartalfiar
They’ve been on the border for years? Considering there are millions of illegals running around Texas, that’s pretty sad.

Democrats would label this “voter suppression”.
Heck, why charter buses? The illegals could fit into about 20 pickup trucks.

The border is hundreds of miles long and very porous, but he’s trying his best to get a wall built...without the help of the fools in DC.

For a while we weren’t allowed to do anything, Guard served support only, or maybe as observers, but still had to call in border patrol to actually confront/arrest iany illegals spotted, if they got there in time. And with the Fed withdrawal / State deployment, Roe have been loosened a bunch but there’s still not enough people. The entire TX Guard is around 18M strong. On a 1250mi border, that’s about 6-7 people per mile, if everyone deployed, no one worked admin or logistical support, and everyone worked 12hr alternating shifts, 7 days a week. And a major lack of assistance from FedGov or other States makes it very difficult to be more efficient.
