TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Homosexual rights advocates sued Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday to block a new law that forbids classroom instruction on homosexual and transgender topics in kindergarten through third grade.
The law states: “Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.” Parents would be able to sue districts over violations.
The challenge filed in federal court in Tallahassee on behalf of Equality Florida and Family Equality alleges that the law violates the constitutionally protected rights of free speech, equal protection and due process of students and families.

Unless they are school children or have school children I would say they have no standing.
Exactly! Far too,many people say they “have no problems with gay people” as long as “they stay to themselves “ but it is very obvious tht gay people will not do that by and large. The fact that they are so incensed over destantis’ law proves this fact. The goal of the lgbtq perverts has always been to groom othe r peoples kids, and to make life miserable for others by suing them for everything from not marrying them, to not doing photography for their faux marriages to,not allowing gay people to join christian schools, p.aces of worship etc where there are very clear rules agaisnt it becasue the folks who,run those places obey God, and require everyone to follow basic guidelines of christian living.

No constitutional items allows homosexuals to groom children into homosexuality. I am all for reinstating laws against sodomy.
Parent groups need to counter sue for attempting to corrupt the morals of minors.
Who would have ever thought one needed a battle plan to defend the purity of schoolchildren? Our conservative side has been slow to awaken to this very real threat.
The misadventures and constraints of Covid have forced many of us to wake the heck up and plan strategies needed to preserve our society, starting with schools. The intent of these gender activist groups cannot be mistaken for paranoia any longer. Not all of them, but an alarming number of them.
We are but a hair’s breadth away from hearing that some Senator is proposing a bill to protect the ‘rights’ of Peds as a Civil Right.
I thought their position was that nobody is teaching this stuff.
But legally speaking, would courts rule that somehow this idea of protected classes applies to discussions or curriculum in school? That could be a key issue, legally speaking, because this law applies only to schools and only to certain grade levels.
Stay tuned. I know the liberals yet again, turn to the courts to get their way, when things don’t go their way in the legislative process.

But now, they have decided that this law is a crime against humanity, and is “homophobic” and all that. So we will see them in court.

Ron needs to,point that very fact out. The left have taken off the gloves to fight, our side needs to as well. Call it what it is, a bill to stop gay people from indoctrinating kids too young to even know better. Make,it,known that opposition to,the bill is support for the immoral grooming of kids

The fact DeSantis is willing to stand up to them to protect some parental rights is amazing. This law protects kids in kindergarter through 3rd grade from being taught sex in schools. Any kind of sex. Gay Straight whatever.
Our side doesn't 'drag' anyone anywhere. You think it's 1969? and gays are oppressed? Tell me - what grade were YOU in when YOU were taught about sex?

All “sex ed” training is prohibited. This is why they’ll win in court.
