And I hope they hit more Russian oil transport infrastructure to cripple the export of oil.

This is like a criminal gang that commits violent home invasions complaining that one of the families disliked them on facebook.

Hey Russia. Think back to the school yard. If one kid starts throwing punches at another kid, there is no sympathy when the aggressor ends up taking a punch or two.

So, stop your complaining. If you are going to start a way by attacking another nation, you cant complain later when they hit back.

This also happened days after Russia claimed that Ukraine’s air force and defenses were gone and that Russia had “air supremacy.

This is really embarrassing for Russia.

Russia has consistently failed to dominate the air space.

Had an interesting conversation yesterday with an old Air Force vet.

Where are the Russian Bombers? Why haven’t they been used?

Or rather, can Russia get enough bombers into the air to do anything?

“Where are the Russian Bombers? Why haven’t they been used?”

This is a mystery. One piece of evidence is they are flying regular sorties, but over Russian territory or the Black Sea. They get to within 10 miles of Ukrainian soil, release ATG missiles, and turn back to base.

That pattern is only explained by being worried about losing aircraft if they do fly into theater.

This is pretty much historical Russian foreign policy in a nutshell. It careens around like a bull in the international china shop but when it gets hit back it plays the schoolyard victim. “Look what you did to me! Never mind the neighbors we flattened.”

Most likely because the “modern air defense” is a luxury yacht moored in Monaco. At least that’s where the money went.

That’s what I don’t understand either. Even if they unload on the peripheries of populated areas and don’t inflict major casualties, the psychological value of the sound and concussion of daily massive bombing is immense.

If I were da Ukes with da Nukes, I would not radiate my own land. I would send one demo nuke to another ammo dump 10 miles inside Ruke territory.

And I would announce it in the press:
“Yes, we are in an existential war, just like the USA was when they dropped their nukes.

Yes, it caused a lot of damage, so we hope the Russians leave our country immediately, surrendering every last bullet and weapon, and agree to be escorted by United Nations Blue Helmet observers.

Yes, we have a few more.

Yes, we acknowledge that the Russians have way more nukes than we do but we didn’t invade THEM, they invaded US, and even though a nuke has gone off in their country, they are not in an existential war of any kind. It is time for them to completely call off their invasion and respect our borders as they said they would in the Budapest Agreement.”

Yes, all those fantastic SA-400 (or whatever they're called) anti-aircraft missiles they've been selling all over the mid-east, saying they were as good as the best American theater defense systems.

No doubt Russia's Ukraine adventure is going to be terrible for its sales of military equipment.

Well, that’s the kind of thing that happens when you start a war. Sometimes they shoot back.
