President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will allow businesses to import another 35,000 foreign H-2B visa workers for working and middle-class jobs even as 11.7 million Americans remain jobless.
On Thursday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that the agency would allow businesses to import 35,000 more foreign H-2B visa workers to fill non-agricultural jobs in construction, hospitality, and landscaping from April 1 to September 30.

Bush League Republicans are happy, they like to import cheap labor, too.
Deranged leftist diaper wearing moron will have a new popularity low of 43 percent.
The TPP II.
Under the TPP, that was supposed to be signed by Hillary Clinton, corporations were going to be allowed to import unlimited numbers of temporary workers and pay them their home country’s wages.
Exactly.
What this means is that the huge influx of people who think $10.00 per hour is a bonanza will keep wage increases well below the inflation rate...which means the white blue collar worker will see a hard life financially.
And to think that all Biden has to do is cancel all of his executive orders and life would go back to the last two years of President Trump and our world as it should be.
It's about the Americans with high paying jobs that will be displaced by cheaper foreign labor.
“..import another 35,000 foreign H-2B visa workers ..... even as 11.7 million Americans remain jobless....”
and how many million illegal aliens has he imported through the southern border???
Who’s he getting the money from to make these ridiculous decisions??? The Chamber of Commerce, the high tech industry, who???
Misleading headline! Breitbart really needs to get its journalistic and editorial acts together - that misleading headline should instead read:
Senile Sleepy Joe's Handlers to Import 35K Foreign Workers for U.S. Jobs as 11.7M Americans are Jobless
C'mon, Breitbart, get it together!
LOL
You can’t force Americans to work.
There are more open jobs available in the US than there are unemployed.
Most fast food joints near me are paying $16k/hr. Many can’t find enough employees to keep their dining rooms open full time. They close early and drive through only.
Around certain Ford/GM factories McDondalds pays more per hour than entry level unskilled labor inside a GM/Ford factory.
I remember when I was in my late teens going to dozens of fast food and other minimum wage businesses introducing myself and my desire to work any hours they offered. They all shook my hand, thanked me for my time, but that they had no openings. Took me months of walk ups and interviews to get my first job.
It amazes me now to see all the help wanted signs everywhere. Even the signing bonuses being offered. I would have pooped myself if an employer had offered me a signing bonus.
Eliminate unemployment insurance and welfare. Watch those positions get filled.
“Most fast food joints near me are paying $16k/hr.”
$16k/hr? Those are Hunter Biden numbers! :)
Wonder how many will stick around and vote...
BTT
Biden’s doing the equivalent of ‘price controls’ for oil companies too. Seems he’s found a whole new area to make horrible decisions in... Maybe it won’t be a recession - maybe Biden will usher in a full blown depression.
It is almost like they are importing people to work for the underclass who cannot work because of their limitations.
Like brown slaves are being imported to help support blacks.
So true. I have 15 positions open in my company with starting wages at $22 per hour, and I cannot fill them. Losing a lot of work
There are a lot of reasons that people wont take many jobs that are out there even if they pay well. Ive been spending a lot of time looking at employment adds myself. Ive found that neither pay nor benefits are the prime motivator in this market. It seems that many of the higher paying jobs that are posted on a regular basis locally are not filled due to long term problems in management or the union and unnecessary requirements made by them on the employees.
I certainly dont want it to seem that Im suggesting anything about yourself personally. I mean beyond the obvious types of problems that some businesses have. What Im saying is that many of these places really need to reconsider things that employees found acceptable in the past but almost no one is willing to put up with today that no amount of pay is going to compensate for among those of todays population even if there were a new depression.
