Former president Donald Trump’s Truth Social app is seeing a 93% drop in signups and similarly steep decline in traffic after a rocky rollout last month fraught with technical issues and an extensive waiting list for new signups to actually use the service.
After going live on President’s Day, the Twitter-lookalike app saw installs decline by more than 800,000 since its launch week, according to Sensor Tower. Installs on the Apple app store this month have fallen to about 60,000 per week, based on early estimates.

That’s some serious cheerbullyeading. Just keep in mind that they don’t ask the cheerleaders into the strategy sessions at half time, they invite the coaches, who know that reality is more difficult than memorizing what rhymes with pom-pom.
As with any new platform, there will be growing pains. Wait a year before passing judgement.

How do we know when we’ll be able to get the computer app?
Most of us are still waiting for the computer app. I don’t use twitter and I don’t use social media on my cell phone.
That sums it up for me.....no hurry.

It’s only on the Apple app and ONLY in the US. It did not launch last week. It is the only social media platform to hit 1m users in a month. This Reno loser is playing a liberal’s game and he looks like an utter fool

The simple truth is that the Truth Social soft roll out and the expected (today) hard rollout is nothing but a disaster. Disaster, plain and simple. Love Trump, but he made a huge mistake putting politicians in charge of Truth Social. Furthermore, he seems reluctant to correct that mistake.
We have been told that the platform would open to all by the end of March. Unless my calendar is broken, today is the last day for TS to open this platform to the million + Apple phone users that have been waiting for over a month, place the app on the google play store and allow web based users.
If this happens it would be the greatest in-your-face liberals of all time. We will know for sure in about 16 hours but doesn’t look too good.
I knew the app was maby alpha at best when they couldn’t have android launching.
I’ll buy it when its finally out on android.

I am at 1.3 million on the list.
I don’t kneel and beg to any personality, not even to President Trump. I like him, I support him, but I will also call him out when he makes mistakes. And, the way this roll-out was handled was a mistake. Hopefully one he will take note of and correct.
As for whether I will join or not, that will depend on how quickly and how well this is handled from this point forward. It will not be decided by your zealous calls for me to stay away nor will it be decided by your narrow-minded attestation to faith.
Furthermore, it will definitely not be decided by your anemic threats to “remind you to get off of Truth Social as you won’t belong there”. Lol, you seem to have quite the overblown image of who you are and how much your opinion really matters in my life. Good luck with that in the future, don’t bother telling me how it works out for you.
President Trump is a man. A man I respect and one who I will vote for again in the future to lead our country forward. But, in the end he is just a man and, like the rest of us, he is still capable of making mistakes.
I would post a lot more once I can use it in a browser on the desktop as it's hard for me to type anything more than a sentence or two on a tiny phone. That is coming eventually, as is an Android app for those who don't have iPhones.
As there is a wait list (I was on it for nearly a month), naturally people are going to be frustrated and lash out at the "poor launch". But it's clearly still in beta with many features (such as direct messaging) sill in the works.
By my reckoning, there is already close to a million active users (based on how many follow Trump) and seems to be growing 20-25K a day as more people are added from the waitlists. Once everybody on the waitlist is fully on board, I think that's when things will open up a little more and it will become possible for somebody to install the app and get right on it as opposed to being waitlisted.
Don Jr and Eric Trump started actively posting there yesterday as did Gov DeSantis. This is a sign that the platform is about to get opened up to a wider audience. The end of March was always the target.
Of course, there are many haters that are eager to declare the platform a failure but like you, I find it a lively place and I'm glad to have gotten in on the ground floor so to speak. It's going to be fun to see it grow as more features and capabilities are added.

After about 8 tries on Feb 21 I finally was successful and created an account. Downloaded the app from the Apple Store. My place on the waitlist is #320,xxx. My wife signed up a day or two later her waitlist is 1,200,xxx Neither of us are in, both of us received the confirming email and are able to log in but are not able to access the platform. Our handles, email and phone numbers are verified. I say this to show that we have proper accounts but no access. We both have iPhones. There is no excuse for this disaster.
We all expected the liberals to mock this platform and Truth Social had to have know that also. There has been no status updates, press releases, news confabs, very little communications. It’s like no one is a spokesmen for the company, no one is in charge.
Some here on FR seem determined to excuse this disaster, why i do not know. This mess was avoidable and unnecessary.
I’m still on their waitlist #439681. It is like taking a number at the deli counter on the Friday before the super bowl.
So far, the platform works about like Twitter did in terms of how to post, follow, etc, but people are a lot more friendly.
There are lags sometimes, or other hitches, but they get worked out pretty quickly. I can kinda see why they didn't open the floodgates to millions immediately.
Lots of veterans, and that's fun for me. Almost all of the postings are political in nature, but some other things are beginning to show in people's posts, too. Pretty pictures, stuff like that.
Is it the be-all-end-all? No, but it's fun.
Meanwhile there is talk of Elon Musk buying Twitter
