Trump’s Truth Social App Plummets in Traffic, Sees 93% Drop in Signups Since Launch Week (Exclusive)

Former president Donald Trump’s Truth Social app is seeing a 93% drop in signups and similarly steep decline in traffic after a rocky rollout last month fraught with technical issues and an extensive waiting list for new signups to actually use the service.

After going live on President’s Day, the Twitter-lookalike app saw installs decline by more than 800,000 since its launch week, according to Sensor Tower. Installs on the Apple app store this month have fallen to about 60,000 per week, based on early estimates.

It was pretty obvious that TruthSocial was DOA on the first day with sign-up crashed. Personally, I was disappointed then to see I was something like 263K in line waiting for my account to become live. I'd love to know why I'm now 567,378. What an embarrassing disaster.

I signed up on I think the first day they were taking sign-up and still no active account and my number on the waiting list as increased. Sorry, that was around February 21, well over a month ago!

I see nothing to suggest it can recover or that they are doing anything to attempt that. Their sign-up is slowing down, people losing their place in line; the numbers are clearly bogus. Well, anyway, wonder what the sign-up count versus the active count is?

And searching, I see nothing from them. As if it is all okay or normal, else head in sand cowering.

And understand, I'd like this or some non-Twitter forum to be successful. So far all I see are one failed attempt after another. This one, with Trump involvement, is even more painful to watch as they were not prepared for prime time, jumped the gun, and still have not recovered.

So the platform was overwhelmed with signups and that is “dead on arrival” because well lets see. Hey maybe the signups have dipped a lot since the first spike. Yeah hey they have. Lets go with that as our rational for thinking its “dead on arrival”. Sure good job folks. Lets spin the next thing....

First of all, Truth Social is only on the Apple Store. Its not been made available on Google Play yet. By far most phones on the market are Androids.
Plus of course the number of new sign ups was bound to go down like they always do. There has never been any app that has stayed at #1 in new downloads forever.

1) “This app is available only on the App Store for iPhone.”
