Germany is willing to become a “guarantor state” for a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, a government spokesman said on Wednesday.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the issue in their recent phone calls, government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit told a news conference in Berlin.
“Germany, like several other countries, is of course ready to act as a security guarantor for Ukraine,” he stressed, but added that the matter could be subject to further deliberations as many details were still not clear.
During peace negotiations in Istanbul on Tuesday, Ukrainian officials signaled readiness to negotiate a “neutral status,” but demanded security guarantees for their country.
Ukrainian negotiator David Arakhamia told reporters that they are seeking an international agreement, where countries including Turkiye, Germany, Canada, Italy, Poland and Israel serve as the guarantor states.

What a joke. Germany can’t defend itself, depending on US occupation bases. So, what do they expect, send their troops and rely on the US to save their butts?

This is so hilarious. The West hasn’t been weaker since Carter. Russia will own East Ukraine and the sanctions regime will not endure. Europe cannot survive without Russian supplies. Trump warned these idiots and they laughed at him. Biden and the Communists are willfully destroying America so things will get much worse for us regardless. Get ready folks.

During a NATO exercise back in 2015 a German armored unit was caught using mounted black broomsticks instead of machine guns. Ukraine had better hope that things have improved since then.
It will be painful but they are talking about a total cutoff of imports from Russia. The Poles are about to close all land traffic with Belarus.
The whole fix is in. Germany “keeps the peace” in Ukraine while reliant upon Russian oil. All that’s left now is the big fat bribe to Zelensky to act contrite and accept Russia’s terms for occupation.

The EU knows the sooner Ukraine gives up, the better the chance the EU has to get it’s energy supply back to something closer to normal.
Germany-EU has no intention of fighting for the Ukraine. What little the EU has done was just to brown-nose the US.
