The Ukrainian forces have reportedly recaptured key strategic locations of Trostyanets in Sumy Oblast, Poltavka and Malynivka villages in Zaporizhzhia Oblast from the invading Russian forces.

The Ukrainian forces launched successful counter-offensives against the invading Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia Oblast in Southeast Ukraine.

The Ukrainian forces successfully ousted the Russian forces from the Poltavka and Malynivka villages in Zaporizhzhia Oblast after intense fighting.

On the other hand, Trostyanets – a city in Sumy Oblast in northeast Ukraine was also liberated by Ukrainian forces.

The city (Trostyanets), located in the northern Sumy Oblast, was captured by Russian forces on March 1. Trostyanets returned under the Ukrainian flag on March 26,” a report claimed.

To better understand the context of the 1994 Budapest Agreement maybe you should start your analysis in 1991,
***Sounds reasonable. That’s about the time when other nation states like Estonia were trying to join NATO, etc.

when Ukraine declared its independence
***Good move. [Notice that Taiwan has never declared independence from China? I know, just a side note.] So, just to take the high view of things, Ukraine is a sovereign, independent nation and it was even affirmed in that useless Budapest Agreement.

and the corrupt government immediately began selling off its military hardware to the highest bidder.
***Well, golly gee gosh then it should be easy for you to show the paperwork. Especially the paperwork for the highest VALUE military hardware, the nukes. That paperwork is known as the Budapest Agreement and there’s no monetary bullshiite involved. Russia has a corrupt guvmint; the USA has a corrupt guvmint; Ukraine has a corrupt guvmint —> so does that mean that Russia now has the moral right to invade her other neighbor and take back land that was once Russian, a.k.a. Alaska?

The obvious answer is not only NO but Frack NO. Just like the obvious answer to Ukraine invasion is NO and frack no.

While trying to understand Putin’s actions, I think what you said is very helpful:
Hunter Biden’s laptop reveals a Ukrainian bioweapons operation inside Ukraine, sponsored by Hunter, “the big guy”, and probably Fauci’s NIAID.

I blamed China for the Wuhan lab and for COVID-19, until I learned that Fauci’s NIAID was sponsoring it. I have supported Putin’s world view that there is no such thing as “a homosexual”, and that “transgenders” are a collection of schizophrenics, children of schizophrenics, rapists, and criminals attempting to change identities. With Russia’s attack on Ukraine I believed Russia to be wrong, and Putin to be a war criminal .....until I learned that Hunter, “the big guy”, and probably Fauci’s NIAID were operating another bioweapons program inside Ukraine.

This activity is unacceptable. COVID has killed a million Americans, and millions more worldwide. Russia has a right to defend itself, and Putin has a duty to Russians to eliminate the threat posed by this operation.

Ultimately, I’m standing with the ordinary people there on both sides, who are doing the best they can to live through the reality politicians, history and intrigue have created for them, the same as we are here.

Sucks to be us here, but it sucks to be them over there even more right now! And it all should be yet another warning that it can happen here, too.

Truth would be nice to have and I always hope that Putin will do a document dump that will finally flush a few of the stinkiest floaters circling the DC punch bowl here right now and since forever.

And that just might be enough help us all survive whatever “they” have planned for us next.

There are “cauldrons”?

What the Russians were actually doing was “rolling through” indeed, but then Ukes would close up behind them and cut them off. And then they would run low on gas, not get resupply (which was ambushed behind them), then have to run the ambush gauntlet back, leaving disabled or unfueled vehicles behind.

They arent doing this (much) anymore. For good reasons.

Another two more Russian Ural-4320 supply trucks were damaged/abandoned in Trostianets, which was captured by the Ukrainian Army recently.

Well, golly gee gosh then it should be easy for you to show the paperwork. Especially the paperwork for the highest VALUE military hardware, the nukes.

Surely it must have occurred to you that the Budapest Memorandum was just a clever way for the nuclear powers to remove dangerous weapons from an unstable and very corrupt former Soviet state before they sold them to a rogue or non-state actor.

Yes it has occurred to me. And right alongside that, it occurs to me that it was a mistake for the Ukes to give up their Nukes. They never woulda been invaded... twice. Nukes are Sovereignty. Paper is ... sumthin you flush down the toilet.

Stopping Putin from what?

Degrading the entire national uke military by 50-60% ( so far); proving the futility of uke dreams of joining NATO? Recognizing the independence or at least future autonomy of Eastern Ukraine? It will be secured. No more Minsk ignored by Kiev,

Separating European interests from most of the rest of the world and even among each other? Getting the US to admit this is about US-forced regime change, not “ democracy in Ukraine”? Showing the world the results of a weaponized USD as a US policy tool that bludgeons national sovereignty at US will…to spur a financial reset?

Russia is making steady progress toward their stated military objectives ( Putin’s objectives, as briefed to the world…not the ones NATO keeps claiming to be his objectives) …the global and regional political objectives just seem to be falling in line with every incompetent US diplomatic disaster,

Looks like General Potemkin is in charge of the “vaunted” Russian army.

Indeed. It looks like Putin was lied to by his corrupt HQ Staff who hallowed out the Russian Army's technical capabilities by substituting cheap Chinese tires and other spare parts for the real thing while pocketing the difference.

I saw on Youtube a tire expert (worked in procurements for the US Army) talking about this. It looks like the Russian Army's equipment was a Potemkin village. Some also say that their training wasn't nearly up to snuff, either. It shows.

Nobody is more surprised by this than me.

Drawing back the curtain on Russian military weakness will draw the interest of many, including China, who might be revising expansion plans away from the Pacific and toward Northern Asia. It may go down as an historic blunder on Putin's part.

Ukraine was never a military threat to russia. If it became a functioning democracy then it would be a threat to Putin as it would show an east slavic state that wasn’t despotic.

How can you support the invasion of a free state?

William Shirers book desc6very well why the Italian military flopped in WWII. They were not motivated.

The italian upper class were Anglophiles and the lower classes were pro America. They disliked the French and despised the Austrians.

They didn’t have their hearts in that war

You should really spend some time researching the historical record regarding Ukraine’s machinations around this issue. You don’t seem well versed at all.

The notion that independent Ukraine had a right to keep Soviet nuclear missiles housed on its territory is absurd and contradicted multiple times by the historical record.

***I’m well versed enough. They HONORED the Budapest Agreement, we are abrogating it, and the Rukes VIOLATED it by invading twice. What more is there? Some sort of pootypoot puffin’ appeasement stuff to read, no doubt.

The notion that independent Ukraine had a right to keep Soviet nuclear missiles housed on its territory is absurd
***It was not so absurd per the Budapest Agreement. What is absurd is that they HONORED it, and the Ruskies INVADED when those nukes were removed. If there is absurdity, it is in how yuge a mistake it was for them to give up nukes.

and contradicted multiple times by the historical record.
***The historical record is gonna tell us that they had no right to keep nukes? The same historical record that shows the rukes saying they have the right to first-strike the ukes with nukes, or even first-strike NATO? The same historical record that shows the Ukes HONORING that agreement and the Rukes VIOLATING it? Perhaps even the same historical record that tells US that WE never had the right to develop and drop nukes during OUR existential war? That’s some historical record thingie ya got goin’ there.

Historically, A Series of victories in the direction of your capitol city are not.

I do not think the Russians really want to conquor Ukraine, other than the eastern provinces. I think that they have certain objectives with regards to the biolabs and killing every Azov member they can get their hands on.
