“ his poor relationship with the Ukraine, and his good relationship with Putin himself I think Putin thought his chances of success would be better under a second Trump administration.”

I watched a video of a Trump Zelensky meeting in the Oval Office. Trump was aware of the corruption in Ukraine but he spoke positively of Zelensky and his promise to clean things up. I don’t see how he could have approved of an invasion. You have to understand a lot of Trump’s praises for other leaders (including Kim Jong Un !) is simply a pre-negotiation tactic. Don’t mistake it for friendship and admiration. Trump uses a combination of praise, friendship and threats at the same time to get what he wants. There was a report sometime back that Trump had privately threatened Putin with “hitting Moscow” if he did something stupid.

For those of us who understood what Trump said and meant and why, this is not a problem.
For the Left who always misconstrue what Trump says and assign nefarious motives to him, it will always be a problem.

Yeah, and the left is going to keep pushing the false context of what he said in order to make sure that happens! My goodness, these people are evil.

It’s just like all the “good advice” articles we read which are written by leftists telling the conservatives what they need to do to win over voters. They really have our best interests at heart, you know!

The uniparty is terrified of The Donald. As well they should. The only way to take the country back is to kill the Republican Party and kill the Democrat Party and the man to do just that is Donald Trump!

Go back in time dude. Blinken said the same thing. Putin times his attacks when we are weakest. When gas prices are sky high. It's not that Putin is genius but that Biden administration are not very smart.

Although they were all in this mess in 14. So maybe it's on purpose.

The TDS crowd will have a chance to prove it & beat Trump at the ballot box in 2024.

They even have their ‘most extensive voter fraud organization in the world’ to back them up.

So why are they so worried about him?

Trump would not have allowed the Ukraine to join NATO, ergo Russia would have had no reason to invade the Ukraine. So you analysis is incorrect. No NATO, no invasion.

The unnecessary suffering and destruction caused by democrats and their republican cohorts in the last few years is truly grotesque.

--- "...kill the Republican Party and kill the Democrat Party...."

Washington foresaw in 1796 our current dilemma and curse, writing of political parties, "They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the illconcerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests."

Further, "The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty."

It seems time and past time to break the "two-party system" for one purpose -- greater "public liberty."

Regards.

Harry Truman was a fool that make one right decision as president and dropped the bomb. Every other decision he made was wrong. Thanks goodness Ike came along and cleaned up the messes Truman left.

Ukraine us part of NATO? Who knew?

I would be surprised if the U.S. was still part of NATO at this point in his second term. And I think Putin knew that as well.
