Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky appears to have accepted that his country will not become a member of NATO, one of the demands made by Russia before it invaded.
According to a translation of his comments in a speech, Zelensky said that Ukraine had "realized" it would not become part of the Western military alliance.
"For years we've heard the opposite, open doors, However, it is not," he said Tuesday according to Ukrainian news outlet, Trukha.
"Our people understand this, and we are beginning to count on our own strength," he added.

We’ll see if he invades and occupies Belarus and Moldova. Both are ripe for the picking since he already has his troops in both countries.
But it HAS come to fruition, due to no fault of VZ. NATO isn’t lifting a finger for a putative member, despite the blood-letting. NATO is chicken sh!t until a year after Trump is back in the oval office, and even then, the institutional chicken sh!t-ness of NATO will only pause for a few years, and then it’s back to chicken sh!t as soon as he’s gone. If it can’t deliver a few old MIGs, what good is it.
The way I read this, he’s saying that they want to join NATO, but they don’t believe that they will be admitted.
If the “leader” of the Free World and his staff weren’t asleep at the switch, this concession could have been made in much more timely fashion, like before the shooting started. In this strategic stare-down, the Ukraine just blinked. This was always going to be part of a negotiated settlement but now Putin appears to be in position to drive a much harder bargain. I’m sure that Putin wants Biden to continue the Obama/Biden negotiating strategy they used with Iran: Give the other side everything they want and MORE, just to show our good intentions.

And for Ukraine to demilitarize, and not pursue membership in the EU, and in effect become a Russian vassal state. And, of course, the “independent” DPR and LPR can happily allow Russian troops to be stationed within their respective borders, just as Crimea did.

If a country is going to have a revolution and overthrow a democratically-elected President and government, then, if you want peace, you let those that disagree that go their own way.

All he is saying here is that alliances don't necessarily have to be under the umbrella of the full NATO alliance specifically. Ukraine still wants to be able to pursue bilateral and multilateral alliances with Western nations outside of NATO.
This was already reported as being the Ukrainian position days ago, and the Russians already have rejected it. So to any who think this is just proof that Ukraine is willing to give on one of the reasons Russia went to war in the first place, you are mistaken.
Russia is demanding that Ukraine not enter into any self-defense alliance with any Western nation, and Ukraine has not surrendered that point.
NATO has morphed into a backdoor NWO.
Ukraine is not in NATO. That is why. Not everyone in NATO wants WWIII at the moment. If that happens, the US will not go unscathed ever again. Weaponry has advanced.
Right now, prior to Russian invasion, we were standing outside throwing turds in the punch bowl and running out of the room.
