With the elites poking at the Russian bear and trying to get us into World War III but in a way where they think none of us gets hurt, we are now facing food shortages.
That could mean possible monthly grocery costs rising by $1,000.
It’s the beginning of crop planting time. Crops need fertilizer. And through the brilliant mechanisms of globalism, guess where we get a lot of our fertilizer?
Russia. They provide two-thirds of the world’s supply.
And they’re temporarily shutting down their fertilizer exports.
So there’s one more log being added to the out-of-control inflation fire.
“We’re going to get hit on every front, on every expense possible,” Oklahoma farmer Ben Neal told Ingraham, “From fertilizers to fuel to labor, insurance – everything in between [including] our packing supplies.”
Neal’s farm operates on a farm-to-market business model, so he has direct fuel costs for transportation. But every farmer essentially faces the same thing – crops need to be transported to processors and final markets and there are increasing fuel costs to power the trucks, trains, barges and ships that make that happen.
But that’s the harvest. Right now there’s the problem of planting the crops in the first place, with their attendant fertilizer.
Already experiencing inflation, Neal predicts fertilizer will drive his costs up by about 25 to 30 percent, “And I think that will soon be reflected at the grocery stores … on top of what we’re already seeing.
Costs further along the supply chain for processing, packaging, transporting, distributing and general retailing may have their own inflation issues which bump prices beyond the 25-30 percent fertilizer cost increases Neal predicts for his farm.
So with costs for fuel and everything else going up, there’s no telling where prices will end up without Russian fertilizer.

Democrats are evil scum.
Yeah, they’re all distracted with Russia, Russia, Russia! How convenient.
I keep seeing this number. My weekly grocery bill for a family of four is under $100. I can't imagine it tripling or more. What are these folks buying?
It’s been stated elsewhere that if this slow motion train wreck is not stopped, the Depression of the 30’s will be a comparative cake walk to what’s coming for the majority of US.
I also have seen this number elsewhere, so I know it is not out of the blue from this article. It is hard to imagine.
Maybe they’re going for the “great reset” sooner than we thought?
“Then let them eat tofu.”
From the looks I saw on other people's faces, I was far from the only one.
I remember the inflation of the 70's and how hard my mom & dad struggled to keep us four kids fed, clothed and taken care of. This feels far worse than that and I can only imagine what parents are going through right now with feeding, clothing, educating their kids.
I'm glad I'm the only person I'm responsible for. Well, directly as in my own house anyway.
Talking about economic pain in the USA is so passe.
I have a new hobby and obsession.
Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine,Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine
We can speed it up with a few more million freeloading bastards from south of the border. America. You asked for it and now you’re going to get it. Food shortages, fuel shortage. Great job asshos! It isn’t going to be pretty.
- Meat processors booked out a year because stockpiling beef.
- Farmers in South can’t get fertilizer for crops now.
- Farmers in Midwest are switching, can’t get nitrogen nor fertilizer.
Buckle up, folks! The media isn’t even warning you."
Nobody in the Democrat Propaganda Machine, but the Internet is full of stories. Even my local farmers’ weekly paper is talking about it.
The market will adjust. New sources of fertilizer will be found. Fallow land will be put into production.
I think I’ll use some of my “I did that” stickers at the meat counter.
I have been telling this to the people I work with, and they just look at me foolishly. The fertilizer issue can be fixed within the US fairly fast, but the transportation costs for stuff is going to be a deal breaker. This is going to be the killer for the Democrats because there is nothing they can do realistically or plausibly that will fix this.
They are constitutionally and psychologically incapable of doing the things which need to be done to fix the situation.
I’m in the landscaping business. Talking with a peer re: a possible job, he told me it costs him $400 to fill up his truck. And then he added, ‘The MotherF*cker.” I agreed. He’s hispanic. I’m white. We are of the same minds.
The average welfare mom, single with two kids, gets $700 a month in food assistance from Uncle Sam, i.e., the taxpayers.
Get stuck behind one of these grifters at the checkout, and you will see how they run up a big bill.
Steak, lobster, prepared foods, frozen foods, the most expensive brand names, etc. Ice cream, soda, cake, potato chips, pre-made subs, It’s all covered now.
They have no concept of food budgeting.
Why should they, when it’s all free?
