I’ve read quite a bit about Stalin and his evil doings. I was commenting on the short story that the poster found. There are entire books written about the Ukrainian holocaust.

Where did you visit in Ukraine?

As you know, before the USSR, most of what is now eastern Ukraine was Cossack hosts. A lot of Western Ukraine, like Lviv, was Polish, once Poland became a country in 1919 and beat the Bolsheviks in 1920. Crimea was filled with Russians in 1945 after Stalin removed 300,000 Tatars for allegedly aiding the Nazis.
As soon as Ukraine declared independence from Bolshevik Russia in 1917, the Donetsk region declared independence from Ukraine so this is not the first time it has happen.

You seem to think there were few Russians in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine before the USSR.

It is easy to prove you are totally wrong in this thinking

1897 census of the Donetsk region:
60% “Greater Russian”,
38% “little Russian” (This category would include all Cossak).

But you said it was all Cossack and no Russian? Ridiculous

1897 Census of Crimea:

Tatars 35%
Russians 33%
Ukrainians 11%

1926 census of Crimea:

Russian 42%
Ukrainian 10%
Tatar 25%

The Greeks were in Crimea many centuries before the Tatar.
Russia controlled Crimea since 1783

I guess the only question is how you convinced yourself of something that is completely false, even to the point of speaking with a voice of authority to lecture others
