'This is a massive crime against humanity': Trump says we 'can't let' the situation in Ukraine continue and slams 'paper tiger' NATO for its inaction

Former President Donald Trump slammed his former comrade Vladimir Putin for the growing death toll in Ukraine - calling it a 'massive crime against humanity' - and blasted NATO for its lack of action during a GOP donor event Saturday.

Trump spoke to Republican National Committee donors in Louisiana during the Spring Retreat in New Orleans, where he covered a wide variety of topics, including the escalating crisis in Ukraine.

Trump also went after NATO, calling it a 'paper tiger' and said the US cannot just stand by while Ukraine is invaded, according to Washington Post reporter Josh Dawsey, who obtained a recording of Trump's remarks.

Trump's comments come as Putin's forces have besieged Ukraine and sparked fears that NATO would be drawn into the fighting. Ukraine President Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelenzky has repeatedly begged NATO to enforce a no-fly zone over his country to help thwart Russian air superiority.

However, the US and its allies have resisted, fearing it could put NATO forces in direct conflict with Russia.

During his presidency, Trump had reportedly said multiple times that he wanted to pull the United States out of NATO, a move that aides scrambled to counter.

Speaking of the situation in Ukraine, Trump told donors that the US should put Chinese flags on America's F-22s and then 'bomb the s***' out of Russia, leading to conflict between the nations while 'we sit back and watch.'

He also shared his thoughts on North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un, saying that 'he's absolutely the leader of that country,' and expressed he was impressed at how Jong Un's advisers were 'sitting at attention' when he talked and 'cowered' when he spoke to them.

Trump said one general stood up so fast when spoken to and joked:' 'I want my people to act like

That isnt true. You need to read up on Ukraine history. They were their own nation in middle ages, then fell to the Mongols. They were divided among various european nation states and Russia for hundreds of years, ( by force not by choice) , then established their own country in 1917, then were forcibly conqured by the Bolsheviks and forced to become part of USSR in 1922. So any links to Russia were at the point of a gun.

Sorry but I have to burst your bubble. When it comes to "great power" politics it is "might makes right" and everything else is an illusion. If you want to take the Ukraine from Russia after over 300 years of the Ukraine being part of Russia then we will have to go to war with a the biggest nuclear power on the planet.

History is full of high-sounding platitudes and calls to virtue but, at the end of the day, might makes right.

At the end-of-the-day are both you and yours ready to pay the place in blood to rip Ukraine out of the Russian orbit?

I honestly dont know.

But if might makes right, when Russia shows up on Americas doorstep in 4 or 5 years after countries have capitulated one after another because of Russias nuclear threats, what will we do? Sign a “treaty” because we are afraid of nuclear war? . If they get away with bluffing and intimidating countries from acting ( and I agree right now it should be Europe stepping up to the plate), why would anyone think Russia would stop after Europe? What world dominating tyrant has ever stopped until forcibly stopped?

If it is one neighbor killing the neighbor next door, I call the police. I don’t pick a side and then kill one of the neighbors.

Either you believe strong nations can, and ARE RIGHT TO, impose spheres of influence or you don’t.

'Right' in what sense? That the justification is ethical, or simply instrumental?

I have a friend who believes that Putin and Trump are secretly working in collusion in Ukraine to eliminate virus-producing factories that Fauci is running there.

This person is an educated individual (Master’s degree) and rabid Trump supporter who apparently is addicted to wacko podcasts or websites that are pushing this stuff. Probably Russian disinformation sites. She told me on Friday that all will be revealed in the next several weeks.

Nobody is saying anything about putting our troops on the ground in Ukraine. The Ukrainians are doing a darn good job of fighting for themselves. Give them the tools and they will finish the job, to quote Churchill about another war.

And if Putin and his thugs remain in power, we’re going to have to fight them when they attack a NATO country. I’d say Poland and Romania are next.

I’m pretty much done at this point. Some of you are stuck in the past with Winston Churchill in mind, totally ignoring this country is going down the toilet and we have domestic
enemies who want to see us genocided, open borders, flooding of the third world through ethnic cleansing, and commies in our government, and never a fair election, again.

In 50 years, this country is going to be a third world dump my kids will be alive in, probably treated like White South Africans living in hoovervilles, but you keep worrying about Baltic States.
