1. “We believe the Russians are deliberately regrouping themselves and reassessing the progress that they have not made and how to make up the lost time." ...
2. “We believe they have experienced logistic and sustainment challenges. Challenges that we don’t believe they fully anticipated.” They may be running short on fuel, with supply tankers unable to get to them, and the soldiers are facing shortages of food ....
Observers suggest routine maintenance has either not been performed or, in the case of many blown-out tires, cheaper Chinese-made tires have been substituted that lose structural integrity if the trucks were parked in the direct UV rays of the sun....
3. “They are getting resistance from the Ukrainians....
4. But there is another, more mundane and foreseeable possibility: springtime mud.
Famous for its “rasputitsa” mud seasons in spring and fall, the area becomes challenging to manoeuvre. Armies experienced this local obstacle in the first and second world wars, yet surprisingly, the Russians sent the vehicles through on the same roads again.
The deep and widespread rasputitsa, which bogs even the lightest vehicles in the mud, is amplified by the enormous weight of the missile system and truck infrastructure, sinking the army trucks deeper, putting enormous pressure on what may be substandard tires. And the supply network for replacements appears to be sorely challenged....

Throw in some carbon credits you’ll have a deal.
Maybe they heard about The Ghost of Kiev and are scared to move.
Putin is just waiting for all his pieces to be in place, the weak links strengthened so that when he says Go, the Russian forces will scorch Ukraine in Holdomor II, Putin’s Revenge.
What do you mean by “encirclement of Russin troops?”

“Russians blitz west may be getting bogged down due to early spring weather.”
Putin has been put at a great disadvantage by his servility to China.
He should never have waited until after the Olympics.
The roads have to have been improved since the Germans went there.

Roads - maybe. mud no.
I seen videos of Russians tankers on exercises and getting stuck in the mud - it is a big problem - one tank had to be towed out by two others before it sank out of sight. Its that bad. They have to stick to the roads this time of year.
If their tires are as cheap as some say, then they have real problems.
I’d suggest not bogged down at all. They’re just waiting, building fear, more reinforcements coming while the spies check out the hot spots in the city(s)
Where is The Goats of Kyiv?
Those young Russian soldiers are Wild And Crazy Guys!
“ Or they are still negotiating and holding back while the negotiations are still taking place.”
How about it’s a decoy and while everyone is wondering what’s going on, Russia is slowly picking away territory. Since NATO won’t get involved, there really is no rush. And as long as the price of oil keeps rising, Russia will be able to fund the war. If Biden said, tomorrow we reopen Keystone and resume domestic oil and gas production, the war ends tomorrow.
