A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.
On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.
Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.
The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.
Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

It looks like they intend to stay a while.
If it is such then you bomb the hell out of it if you have the capability to do so which we are told that Ukraine has or does it have an air force of piloted or unpiloted craft at this point?

And even more meaningful, the Russians would not have that convoy lined up like that if they did not know there is no threat from the air.

We are not in this conflict. I really with Americans would quit hoping we are. We do not need to be in two completely corruption countries internal BS. Ukrainian or Russian sides are bot extremely corrupt. I do not want my sons deaths for either. Feel free to sacrifice your children to to Eastern European corruption. Count me and mine out.

Agreed. Seems like a sitting duck. Similar to WW II where the nazis were sabotaged trying to bring their tanks from southern France to Normandy. The constant sabotage bogged them down for 3 weeks, and by that time it was too late.
They’ve been reporting the same number of miles all evening.

I was afraid of that as the convoy should have already been harried the entire way. Maybe it was 60 miles long when it started.
Let’s see, it was 17 miles out about 3 hours ago. They have to have started spreading out big time by now.

The great problem with the Putin regime is they believe their own propaganda. For days the Russian regime has loudly proclaimed they have complete control of the air.
The generals believe that, and each day are surprised when their planes and copters don’t come home.
The US knows Russia will soon occupy Ukraine. I’m not rootin’ for Putin, that’s just a fact of military superiority, since he’s doing it old school, surrounding and occupying. Not shock and awe and blow the crap out of things and then spend a trillion (which he doesn’t have) and 5-10 years rebuilding. Putin wants Kiev and Ukraine intact and as undamaged as possible, just under new management.
But winning the peace may be harder than winning the war, and that’s what the US sanctions are aimed at - starving Russia economically and trade-wise, while public opinion will be putting Adolph Putin’s picture on every urinal cake in the country. Putin may get it but I think the western world will be making it damned hard for him to keep it.

Worse it’s going above freezing in Ukraine the next few days. That begins the mud season.
None of those vehicles will be able to get off that highway if they are cut off.
I’m trying to figure out the strategy behind allowing that much force to get within 17 miles of the Capital. Unless they are bringing flowers.

If they did not, Ukraine would put up a couple of squadrons and stop that convoy.
But they’re not. Because they can’t.
And they would if they could.
In an amazing coincidence, Zelensky was just begging for a no-fly zone.
