A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.
On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.
Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.
The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.
Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

Bret Baier just said there are 2 chokepoints for those 2 columns approaching Kiev from the north. Should be easy enough to cut off. I’d blow up the rear of the column and keep the equipment. Make the soldiers walk home.
Yes a 17 mile stretch of road choked with vehicles is what you call a “target rich environment.”. Vehicles in convoy are at their most vulnerable.
The proof is in the pudding and we will know the fate of the Ukraine soon.

Couple A10 warthogs would have quite a time with a 17 mile long convoy.
Which makes me wonder about the authenticity of the story?
They have also told us Ukraine’s air force is alive and well and receiving reinforcements (70 aircraft) from three Eastern European countries in NATO (Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia).
If that’s sticking out so big and long, you chop its off.
If it’s really out there?
Early on the Russians claimed they had destroyed the base from which Ukraine was operating its drones, which was in southern Ukraine
Also, that the factory where Ukraine was producing drones under license from Turkey was destoyed
Then, videos were released of at least three bayraktar drone strikes on Russian columns, absolutely devastating strikes
So who knows how many drones the Ukrainians have or how difficult it is to get them in an effective position without being shot down

In Russia “lead poisoning” of a leader can’t be ruled out as a possibility. Though when you consider what the guy who can take out the top cutthroat ex-KGB agent would be like , the “devil you know” might be a better situation.
The convoy will begin to deploy to both sides soon, as part of encirclement. This will be announced as stiff resistance having stopped their advance.
Hopefully the questions about why no strafing will have faded by then.

Only air power. Or moving armored divisions of your own.
Kiev is about 80 miles from the Belarus border. The convoy is north of Kiev. No “hundred of miles” involved here. More like maybe 40-50 at the most. Resistance is waiting. Ever heard of the concept of “ambush?” Nah probably not.

The fact that the US & Europe lowered the boom earlier today with sanctions tells us what we need to know. They’re getting reliable intelligence on what’s happening. If their own propaganda were true, they’d let the Ukraine Armed Forces destroy the Russians or chase them back over the border.
