Russian military convoy has advanced from Ivankiv to outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show (17 miles long)

A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.

On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.

Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.

The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.

Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

Ivan Pechorin, 39, managing director of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, reportedly fell off a boat at full speed and died Saturday near Russky Island in the Sea of Japan in Primorsky Krai, Russia, near Vladivostock, about 5,800 miles east of Moscow. Pechorin worked under Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the Russian publication Komsomolskaya Pravda, modernizing aviation in eastern Russia while developing resources in the Arctic in light of heavy sanctions.

I was watching a clip of Russian commentary shows last night. Several guests were just about freaking out over the UKR offensive and what it meant for the country. They looked quite anxious. It occurred to me they were so apprehensive of ongoing failures and instability they would support a coup to forestall a coup d’é·tat, revolution and UKR invasion of Russia. Likely to occur all at once.

The Russian federation is literally falling apart in a similar manner to the Ottoman and Hapsburg empires. Corruption and war sweeps away old, sick empires. I can see the Russians supporting a UKR/Euro leadership more readily than continuing with the RUS/KGB kleptocracy which has become an international pariah. No future for Russians and continued failure for their military.

I have a number of friends in Moscow, and I am now learning communications are becoming an issue, and it appears all directional arteries and inner circle roads are blocked (some with armor), by the NG and Army. I was there in 1991, OCT 1993 (at Embassy and on ship in the Moscow River for safety as the White House got po iui used with artillery), and later when Putin literally had murdered several media and press faces, grabbed absolute control of the media and press (already formally happening behind scenes in 1997), then secretly had apartments blown in his iron handed consolidation of absolute ascension to power. And with lockstep help from the FSB and key General Staff, that is exactly what he did.
