A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.

On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.

Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.

The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.

Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

Poland fought a total of 18 wars with Moscow.
Every single time Poland fought side by side with Ukraine, the Russians lost. That is why Poland and Ukraine stand together today, just as they did then.

‘I don't see justice in this war’: Russian soldier exposes rot at core of Ukraine invasion

Pavel Filatyev knew the consequences of what he was saying. The ex-paratrooper understood he was risking prison, that he would be called a traitor and would be shunned by his former comrades-in-arms. His own mother had urged him to flee Russia while he still could. He said it anyway

Two weeks ago, Filatyev went on to his VKontakte social media page and published a 141-page bombshell: a day-by-day description of how his paratrooper unit was sent to mainland Ukraine from Crimea, entered Kherson and captured the seaport, and dug in under heavy artillery fire for more than a month near Mykolaiv – and then how he eventually was wounded and evacuated from the conflict with an eye infection.

Filatyev, who served in the 56th Guards air assault regiment based in Crimea, described how his exhausted and poorly equipped unit stormed into mainland Ukraine behind a hail of rocket fire in late February, with little in terms of concrete logistics or objectives, and no idea why the war was taking place at all. “It took me weeks to understand there was no war on Russian territory at all, and that we had just attacked Ukraine,” he said.

Filatyev fled the country via an undisclosed route sometime after Saturday evening, when he headed off to find a hostel to spend the night. Two days later, Osechkin announced Filatyev had managed to escape Russia “before his arrest”. It is still unclear whether or not he has been charged formally with any crime in Russia.

“Why should I have to flee my country just for telling the truth about what these bastards have turned our army into,” Filatyev wrote in a Telegram message. “I am overwhelmed by emotions that I have had to leave my country.”

“I am just terrified of what happens next,” he said, imagining Russia fighting for total victory despite the terrible cost. “What will we pay for that? Who will be left in our country? ... For myself I said that this is a personal tragedy. Because what have we become? And how can it get any worse?”

ICEYE Signs Contract to Provide Government of Ukraine with Access to Its SAR Satellite Constellation

As part of the agreement, ICEYE will transfer full capabilities of one of its SAR satellites already in orbit for the Government of Ukraine's use over the region. The SAR satellite will be operated by ICEYE. In addition, ICEYE will provide access to its constellation of SAR satellites, allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to receive radar satellite imagery on critical locations with a high revisit frequency.

Western intelligence official just told reporters attack on Saky airfield in Crimea by Ukraine ‘put more than half of Russia's Black Sea Fleet naval aviation combat jets out of use. The Russian system is busy seeking to allocate blame for the debacle.’

‘The real story is about (Russia's) Black Sea Fleet. They've lost their flagship Moskva, they lost Snake Island, they lost half of their naval aviation package and their military headquarters was struck.’ ‘What we are seeing now is (Russia's) Black Sea Fleet taking a very defensive position, trying to avoid getting in the line of fire. This is a proud fleet with a long history. The credibility of that entity has been diminished.’

‘I think we can assume attacks by Ukrainians behind enemy lines.’ Targets such as Belgorod (in Russia) ‘are legitimate targets which don't risk Russian territorial integrity.’ ‘I don't see [explosions/attacks behind Russian lines] diminishing. I think we've seen an uptick of those events.’ Western intelligence official puts attacks by Ukraine down to a ‘combination of incredibly brave people and new capabilities.’
Western intelligence official suggests Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is being used by Russia & Ukraine in a battle for the ‘information environment.’ Says infrastructure there is built to ‘cope with a civilian airliner flying into it...direct fire is not our concern.’

‘The issue we are concerned about [at Zaporizhzhia power plant] is the water cooling of nuclear reactors. If the grid power supply is disrupted, it pushes them to back up generators. If they fail...we are in a more serious situation.’
‘there are diesel generators & a workforce [at Zaporizhzhia] to mitigate risk.’ Says ZPP provides 20% of Ukraine's electricity. ‘This is hybrid warfare...If this were connected to Crimean grid it would be a sign of Russification’
Western intelligence official says Russians are starting to ‘run out of ammunition.’ ‘We have a large range of evidence to suggest munitions are being depleted...inc munitions coming out of deep storage.’

Western official says falling Russian munition stocks ‘ultimately will start to impair Russia's ability to launch offensives.’ Says Russia has merged BTGS & is having a ‘terrible time trying to reconstitute its forces...this is not a good way to improve combat effectiveness’

Western intelligence official says war in Ukraine is now in ‘different stage.’ Conflict is not at the ‘high point’ when there was constant shelling in Donbas. This is ‘partly because both sides have become more conscious that this is a marathon, not a sprint.’

Western intelligence official says will be important to see if a vote on incorporating Russian-occupied Kherson region of Ukraine will be held on 11th Sept at same time as Russian regional elections. ‘Even if it is absorbed into Russia, the Ukrainians will still attack them’

‘resupplying & rebuilding forces is going to be an essential part of what takes place over winter’ in Ukraine. Key also to see if Ukraine continues to achieve a ‘kinetic effect’ behind Russian lines.’

Long interesting article
Russia’s spies misread Ukraine and misled Kremlin as war loomed

In the final days before the invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s security service began sending cryptic instructions to informants in Kyiv. Pack up and get out of the capital, the Kremlin collaborators were told, but leave behind the keys to your homes.

FSB operatives who at one point had reached the outskirts of Kyiv had to retreat alongside Russian forces, Ukrainian security officials said. Rather than presiding over the formation of a new government in Kyiv, officials said, the FSB now faces difficult questions in Moscow about what its long history of operations against Ukraine — and the large sums that financed them — accomplished.

The FSB did not respond to requests for comment.
