Are they figuring that EU membership is like love in Harry Potter? That Vladimort won’t be able to withstand occupying them because the regulations, they burn? I hate to make light, but I don’t understand (I suppose), could it be for funding being rebuilt?
As one Freeper pointed out a couple of days ago, Zelensky is the Ukrainian version of Jimmy Kimmel. I wouldn’t expect the guy to know the first thing who how to conduct himself at a time like this.

Where do you come up with this crap? Delivery of aircraft to Ukraine, flown by Ukrainian pilots, does not equate to “flying combat missions against Russia.”

Keep in mind Zelensky upped his plea just the day after European’ Commission’ President Ursula von der Leyen’ declared that Ukraine belonged in the EU.’... “They are one of us and we want them in,” she told the Euronews TV channel.
So I think they’re already setting it up for Ukraines inclusion......but their rules say they can’t as long as there’s war in his country....and they are hesitant because they know Russia will respond...unpredictable how.
Plus If Biden makes the similar commitments to ‘nation-building in Ukraine’ as he’s made to Afghanistan, Ukraine will turn out to be Biden’s Afghanistan rather than Putin’s.

“We appeal to the European Union for the immediate accession of Ukraine ‘via a new special procedure,”......“Our goal is to be together with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be on an equal footing. I’m sure it’s fair. I’m sure it’s possible,” he added.
Sounds like Zelensky’s demanding the EU set another place setting at their table for their dinner. ......Using words like...’Fair”...’Equal footing”....and “Special treatment”....this early isn’t exactly understanding all the nations who have waited years in line and fairness to them.

Well, you’ve got to figure that after this is over with if Ukraine wins, they will need all new trade agreements since Russia will absolutely punish them given the chance. The EU Eastern bloc members are in favor, so if they win that would be really helpful.
