Exactly. If I had my old desk I’d be impervious.

Are they stupid or are they nuts?
Have you ever heard of a bomb shelter which was not packed?

“f possible, wear a mask if you’re sheltering with people who are not a part of your household.”
and ask for their vaccination status.

Yes, we’re gonna have a wingding
A summer smoker underground
It’s just a dugout that my dad built
In case the reds decide to push the button down
We’ve got provisions and lots of beer
The key word is survival on the new frontier

the battery operated radio may “operate”, but all the radio and tv companies might have deionized equipment. In fact, if they are in major cities, they are gone.

So, if you wear a mask, you can’t catch the rona during a nuclear blast? Putting that one on the emergency check list.

Here’s a gem from the document:
Many “People may already feel fear and anxiety about the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). The threat of a nuclear explosion can add additional stress.”

Not boosted? Out of the shelter. Sorry. Into the radiated wind you go.

When is the last time you saw a Fallout Shelter sign on a building? They used to be all over the place. Last one I recall seeing was in the mid 1980s.
