As Ukraine enters its third day of Russian bombardment following President Vladimir Putin’s invasion this week, a senior defense official said Saturday that Moscow has become "increasingly frustrated" by the lack of momentum.
"We have indications that the Russians are increasingly frustrated by their lack of momentum over the last 24 hours, particularly in the north parts of Ukraine," the senior defense official said. "We also continue to see indications of viable Ukrainian resistance."

You might not agree with your adversary's POV, but only a fool dismisses it out of hand.
Skirmishes at night last night, advance units. Where is the massive attack? Can the Russians not fight at night?
Something is going on here. I have little respect for Russian military, but this is even underperforming for them.
Godspeed to Ukraine. Let’s get more of those damn Stingers and Javelins in there.
You know we’re getting a lot of info on the performance of the Ruskie military equipment.
Russian conscripts are unmotivated with low morale. This is not 1980s Afghanistan, now even Russian enlisted troops are plugged into world media. They do NOT want to die to take a street in some nameless Ukrainian town.
OTOH, the Ukrainians are highly motivated, fighting on their own home ground with their backs to the wall. Do or die.

Yeah. I’ve always admired underdogs
Have any of you given thought to why the globalists are pushing to stop Putin?
Why is Big Tech (Twitter and FB) limiting what opinions and viewpoints that you can read about the Ukraine and Russia and US ties to the Ukraine? When did anyone here begin trusting the media?
Who was making hundreds of millions off of secret Ukrainian energy deals?
Why are there 16 US secret bio-laboratories in the Ukaine?
That ought to give you an idea of who the bad guys are and who the good guys are.
“Something is going on here. I have little respect for Russian military, but this is even underperforming for them.”
I agree. Kinda makes one wonder if the commanders and troops on the ground are not enthused about fighting.
Did they poll the Russians over their lack of momentum in 24 hours?
Hey, where are the other maps I asked about? While we’re at it, how about the map Putin used to invade Georgia and Crimea? This is what, at least three invasions Putin has launched now? Exactly how many times has NATO invaded Russian territory? Can you post those maps too?
There was a video of Ukrainians inspecting a captured Russian armor, and the Ukrainians say, “This Russian shit is in even worse condition than ours!”
Looks like the Russkies have the same old problem they’ve always had: they’ll buy huge amounts of stuff but won’t spend a dime on maintaining it.
Anyone else notice how Jesse, Bongino, Perino, and Janine are frothing at the mouth with their deification of Zelenskyy lately? Seems over the top and somewhat contrived to me.
Sure the guy is showing real courage, but they seem to be talking from the same script.
After 5 years of Fake News....nothing is real right now
My take is the Russian military was not seriously intending to invade Ukraine. They don’t have modern warfare experience and their military is simply not the same military of WWII.
Probably went way too complicated attempting an encircling of Ukraine rather than a single supported assault.
Judging by what I’m seeing on Twitter and Fox News, (and here), the Ukrainians should be in Moscow within 48 hours.
It’s odd how the Rooskies are targeting civilians for maximum murder death, but they aren’t taking out infrastructure like electricity and water. Really weird.
Whatever you say Vlad.
The CIA would never lie to us.
Except, just those few thousand times they tried to embarrass Trump and get him removed from office.
Or the fiction that Osama Bin Laden was in a military base deep in the mountains of Afghanistan.
Or WMDs in Iraq.
Or the Tonkin Gulf Incident.
But other than that, completely reliable & trustworthy.
