NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Friday said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened the alliance by telling it to withdraw forces from member nations or face consequences.
This goes far beyond Ukraine," Stoltenberg warned. "This is about how Russia is actually challenging, contesting core values for our security. Then warning that NATO should withdraw all forces and infrastructure from almost half of our members.
"They said that if we don't do that, if we don't meet their demands, there will be what they call ‘military-technical consequences,'" he added.
The leader of the 30-member alliance said that in response to these threats NATO has for the first time deployed its Response Force for collective security.
Stoltenberg said the U.S., U.K., France and Germany are among the NATO nations to have deployed forces and lead elements to assist the Response Force.
"We have to take this seriously," he said....

Neocons, stop beating the war drums. The west pushed Putin into a corner by insisting on bringing Ukraine into nato. Only an idiot would assume he wouldn’t clap back at this. Imagine if the old Warsaw Pack had brought Mexico into their alliance. The US would have lost their sh#t! Then there’s the CIA instigated color revolution to overthrow a Ukraine leader sympathetic to Russia with one pro nato. Except that we have screw up Biden in charge and his woke military leaders - that is the only glitch.
That was the implication in translation I saw of Putin demanding we/NATO withdraw from Eastern and Central Europe.
Confirming all reports of the past ten years as to the pitiful real state... lack of parts for maintenance, readiness for deployment, lack of munitions gor training. At one time in the past few years the had not one single sub available for active patrol. Every one was in port for repairs/replacement.
All token elements in Afghanistan were tiny units such as the highly publicized “Fuchs” platoon size CBN detection unit.
This is insane. Ukraine isn’t in NATO.
If Biden wants to intervene, he needs to organise a coalition like Bush did with Iraq. Or go it alone. NATO forces aren’t his private army.
They gonna wear miniskirts and hand out Cinabons to the Ukrainian troops???
This is so ripe to escalate. Calm heads need to prevail. None of this is worthy of getting into WWIII.

Best hope is for the Russian military to take out Putin before it gets to that point. The longer this goes on, the greater chance of it happening.
It’s getting pretty close to the point of spiraling out of control. Pretty sure this is turning into the closest all out nuke war since the Cuban missile crisis. The millennials and Gen Z are in for a shock most likely.

I don’t believe Putin said that, or at a minimum I believe it’s being presented out of context. Makes no sense to so rashly threaten all of NATO with that, he would lose face if everyone didn’t pull out, and I don’t see him setting himself up to lose face that easily.
I have said as much on another thread. This is about oil and globalists. I hope Putin kicks the crap out of them.
