Russia-Ukraine war: What triggered Putin and what may happen next
Fox news ^ | 02/24/2022 | Greg Norman

It had been feared for years: a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. And now, it’s happening.

Images of Russian tanks rolling into Ukraine were perhaps the most chilling that Fox News monitored through a long night during the opening round of the assault.

The question remains: What is Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aim?

If it is just to enlarge and solidify the pro-Russian eastern portion of the country that has been disputed for the last eight years that would be grim enough.

For all those on FR who said Putin was a good Christian man and a good guy what say you now?

Would you have a better opinion of the guy if he firebombed a city?

Too costly.

Estimates were that Putin could take the Baltics in two days. Who is going to declare war against Putin, Germany, Biden?

Even with a surrender and installation of Vichy-style client state, there will be a long term problem of resistance.

Over the past year and a half I've watched a few foreign language films about WWII. The French ones seem to think that the US, Britain, and our other allies helped the Resistance a little in driving the Nazis out of France. Hopefully, you're not in that camp.

Putin is not Trump

Apparently you haven't asked a Democrat, Mainstream Media "Journalist", RINO, Deep Swamp Alphabet Agency, Principled Republican, Capitol cop, or Cheney.

This is a regional conflict which the incompetent US government has inflated.

Trump handled Putin correctly...quiet sanctions, good optics and no personal attacks.

Biden (aka, Obama) crushed our bargaining chip, the oil and gas industry, and actually gave everything away to Russia through the pipelines because he didn’t want the US to be involved with the dread carbon fuels. And then he complains?

And the posturing, demented old man Biden actually thinks sticking out his useless crotch parts by taunting Putin is going to work?

Trump respected Putin (but kept him in check) and Putin respected Trump. Biden has put the Russians in a place where they have to respond in a situation that the US knows nothing about. This would be Russian historical...for centuries...pan-SLavism, which is the idea that all of the Slavic countries should be united under Russia.

Communist Russia abandoned that and went to unity under Communism. Putin is not a Communist, but a Russian nationalist, capitalism oriented, Orthodox Christian and very much opposed to the corruptions of the West (gays, transexuals, destruction of the family, etc.). Obviously, a lot of this is motivated by politics.

But at the same time, a lot of it is motivated by a vision that Americans (except for Trump and Pompeo) don’t even know and certainly don’t understand.

But it’s all about Joe and his old man’s wienie.

The Azov battalion is not “pro Russian separatists.” It a unit of the Ukraine army, created by NATO and the CIA to fight against ethnic Russians in areas of Ukraine that have been Russian for centuries. Modern “Ukraine” is an illegitimate invention of Lenin that encompasses vast swaths of ancestral Russian lands with millions of ethnic Russians. They have right to their land of their forefathers. So all that Biden weaponry is actually going to foreign funded neonazi insurgents fighting actual ancestral inhabitants in lands we have zero business being in. It’s all about WEF, Soros, the UN, and the elites trying to destroy Russia through this corrupt, foreign Zelenski government.
