On Wednesday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the U.S. has hit Russia “hard” with sanctions, he has reason to believe Russia will be engaging in something similar to a full invasion of Ukraine before the end of the night, and “everything is in place for Russia to move forward.”
Host Lester Holt asked, “Do you have reason to believe that, before this night is over, Russian forces will be engaged in something akin to a full invasion of Ukraine?”

Well if they keep saying it is going to happen “today” as they have for the past several weeks, they may eventually be right. Or if it doesn’t happen, they will claim it is due to their threats and tough talk.
They’re basically saying ahead of time that sanctions won’t work, won’t stop Pootypoot from invading.
“sanctions” at this point are only what Putin will demand be reversed in order to “make peace” with a Ukraine subservient to Putin.
I’m sure Blinken will put Putin in the Comfy Chair.

LOL, sanctions cant stop airstrikes, missiles, leveling everything to the Dnieper River, well beyond the contested.

Russian officials have been bragging that they don’t care about sanctions. The State Department is just doubling down on their impotence.
Have they drafted the Angry Letter yet?
I also hear in their Angry Letter to Putin, they actually might use Sarcasm.
