No, Nope, No: It Is Not Time for a Civil War: Everyone out there asking whether it's time to "use the guns" against the government needs a hard and fast answer in the negative
American Thinker ^ | 02/23/2022 | Jeremy Egerer

Posted on 02/23/2022 7:10:16 AM PST by SeekAndFind

Charlie Kirk was asked recently, at one of his lectures, whether now is a good time to "use the guns."  He answered that it isn't, and I agree with him but only partially for the reasons he stated.

Simply put, the idea that right-wingers could start a revolution and win one, at this point in history, is comedy — and no, I don't care if that's the sole reason we have a Second Amendment and we have more AR-15s.  First off, we don't own any of the institutions — including any branches of the military, which, although staffed with lots of great and respectable men, are currently run by woman-drafters, white-shamers, and tranny-loving butt-kissers

I would add to this that social and big media are owned almost entirely by the left wing, which means we have no platform to mass-communicate.  Do we run the CIA, or the FBI, or any national organization built to maintain law and order in a crisis?  No — all of it is in possession of the left wing, which gives leftists a clear advantage in organization and persecution.

More importantly, I would posit that these United States are so completely interdependent that any kind of real split, even without bloodshed, would result in mass starvation and eventually death.  This isn't the 1860s, when clothes could be homespun and farms were all family-owned.  There isn't a single business in these states that maintains its existence within a single state: everyone is dependent on other businesses in other states, and many times in other countries, to supply what he needs to function on even a basic level.

Final thought:
Consider that the police in Canada are willing to oppress others of their own community, or even family. What do their bosses have over them to make them willing to perform acts so obviously counter to their basic principles—ones universally ingrained in the human heart?

Pensions.

Let’s see how the next elections go. If there is the massive fraud we saw in 2020 that keeps the Marxists in power, it might be time for a revolution. If the GOP sweeps Congress and we can purge or at least curtail the swamp dwelling RINOs, there is a chance we can save the country.

There are plenty of reasons to impeach dementia Joe, but that gives us Kamala as POTUS … maybe even worse. I have a feeling a GOP sweep of Congress and the prospect of serious investigations into the Biden crime family might cause old Joe to resign. The Democrats have to desperately get rid of Kamala before that happens. My best scenario for the Democrats would be Kamala gets appointed to the Supreme Court, but fails to get Senate confirmation and she then disappears. Tulsi Gabbard gets appointed VP and the dementia Joe resigns and goes to a memory care facility inDelaware making Tulsi POTUS. However, the Democrats are now run by Marxists who still have visions of creating a socialist Marxist state and abandoning the Constitution. Their party will get crushed in honest elections.

Amen. (although an occasional massive peaceful protest does not hurt)

We should just meekly submit to the left’s “final solution” for us? In case you haven’t noticed, the left is going for all of the marbles this time.

It’s true that patriots cannot beat the military or even the police forces in a set-piece battle. However insurgencies are not fought that way. And, by the way, our military is particularly unsusessful against gurellia wars.

The interconnected nature of our society, industries, and services makes us more vulnerable, as you correctly point out.

I believe more and more freedom loving Americans are taking a bullet for believing in the America that they grew up in. The transformation of America under Obama was very effective. The herd is just moving on by, while the Democrat lions devour the carcass of people like Kyle Rittenhouse and thousands of others, A DEMOCRAT, who just wanted to stop Kenosha businesses from being burnt to the ground. He barely made it out with his life, and he is in iminent danger every day for the rest of his life.

The police and National guard, Just stood by and let it happen, hoping that paychecks would go out as usual.

Two words, precinct project. An early test run in Virginia proves with a 50/50 mix of election volunteers cheating is almost impossible even in the inner cities:

[[ would result in mass starvation and eventually death. This isn’t the 1860s, when clothes could be homespun and farms were all family-owned. ]]

Wow, no nope no! He’s right, it’s not the 1860’s, it’s better- we have the internet that can connect us with conservative places of business if we have to come to that. And people are far more resilient than the author gives folks credit for. Just because we’ve become accustomed to comfort doesn’t mean that if everything goes south, that we’ll all keel over and give up the ghost. Splitting fro the vile left wouldn’t mean masses dying of confusion and no sense of survival at all.

Conservatives of all stripes were also instrumentsl, instruments, building this nation, and will,be again if we have to go in another direction by splitting up from thise who hate us. It’s not like conservatives sat by while liberals built America way back when, nor is it that way now. Necessity is the mother of I’vention, and if it’s necessary, we Will learn to adapt to a new changing direction in a effort to get out fro under the thumb of those who hate us and trample our rights.

I don’t get where e the author is coming from when he suggests everything shuts down if a split should happen. He seems to,think everyone Wil. Curl, into a ball and give up. Sorry, it never happened before, an wont happen again Either.

Sorry americanthinker this article is a swing and a miss.

The author seems to believe a fight would be resisters against regulars. My belief is it would be more effective to concentrate on business leaders who facilitate the government overreach. We all know who those people are in tech, industry, and finance. After a few lost, lost souls, the remaining ones would likely rapidly realign their allegiances, once they realized the private security forces draw many of their members from among those likely to align with the resistance.

I’m very much in favor of the “peaceful divorce.” That is the best option we can get.

So were the confederates, but those in power in the corrupt city of Washington DC were not going to let that happen in 1861, and they won't let that happen today.

The corrupt city of Washington DC is fed by tribute from us, and they will never let us go free.

“I think the only human alive in the USA in 1860 that would actually fight a war to keep states in IN the union was Lincoln.”

You’re saying there were no volunteers?

You’re saying State Militias and State Volunteer Infantry and Cavalry didn’t fight in the war?

[In response to the title]

Then tell the left to stop provoking by demanding submission to their beliefs.

Can you cite for me where in the Constitution such a split is catered for?

It isn't covered in the Constitution because everything that needed to be said on the matter was covered in the Declaration of Independence where a right to independence is explicitly asserted.

Remember, the Constitution was written only 11 years after the Declaration, and nobody had forgotten the right to Independence expressed therein.

What a weird way to end a stupid article. Certainy valid points I agree with, but I don't thick this clown (who the hell is Jeremy Egerer?) is going to win many people over with his writing.

His arguments do not appear well thought out.

We shouldn’t countenance CW2 now because if you believe as I do that Trump and at least part of the military are working a plan to eject the belligerent force now occupying DC out its going to soon be over. We have to let this play out for awhile.

If it becomes evident at some point in the near future that this plan either does not exist or is not succeeding then I agree with you we certainly can replace this criminal cabal at the point of a gun. I have heard a couple of former special forces guys make the comment that they are only going to wait so long before stepping in.

We have millions of former combat vets in this country. Why do you think the DOJ is trying so hard to go after the Oathkeepers? 100,000 strong mostly former combat vets and LEOs. Our young people don’t join the military to wage war on their own people. They swear allegiance to the Constitution not the President.

“The USA could split into 50 totally independent nations tomorrow. The “system” is designed that way.”

If the USA splits up, the leftists win the battle, after which they will continue the war.

Re: 23 - okay, now that you have that out of your system, can you suggest a book that further discusses how secession in the modern-era (post Civil War) might play out?

Economic disinvestment in the states held by our enemies. Like Texas is doing to California.

We should all be engaging in economic warfare against Liberal states and liberal corporations.

“The only chance is for the military to turn against the ruling government in a coup d’ etat.”

Who do you think creates, manufactures, supplies, and maintains those weapon systems?
