Most Americans disagree with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s handling of the Canadian freedom truckers in his country, but a majority of Democrats support his protest crackdown, a Trafalgar Group survey released Tuesday found.
“Do you approve or disapprove of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s handling of the trucker protest in his country?” the survey asked.
Overall, it found 55.3 percent disapproving, compared to 35.1 percent who approve and 9.6 percent who are unaware of it.
Notably, there is a significant partisan divide, as 87.3 percent of Republicans disapprove of Trudeau’s handling of the protest, but 65.7 percent of Democrats approve of it. Most independents, 74.4 percent, disapprove.

Antifa and BLM are no real threat. Active middle class people are a serious threat. If Antifa and BLM went on a general strike nothing would happen. If the middle class went on a strike the govt would come to a screeching halt. This is why the working class has to be intimidated into silence at all costs.

FWIW, they don’t need “a law” to use force. They just do it. Lincoln was the same way. Force now, get called out later if ever. “Emergency” overrides law, every time.

Dems would do the same things here and wouldn’t care about the law.
Not all social changes are good, correct or beneficial but the threat of violence or actual violence seems to be necessary for it to come about.
Governments do not give up power willingly. Power, once gained by government becomes an integral part of the establishment. It is very much like a bear. Once he takes your food, it is now truly his food and in his view you have no right to take it back. Often a government gains power by granting to a constituency a benefit, in return for keeping the government in power. The constituency actually becomes part of the government, opposing any attempt by the people to repeal the benefit originally granted.
I believe that the Canadian Truckers’ over emphasis on the protest being peaceful was their downfall. It would have been much better to leave it as a governmental unknown as to whether it would be violent. Let the government assume the worst. But the truckers then needed to have been prepared for violence.
A quote that I heard from some government official was, “OK, you’ve made your point. Now go home.” (And we in the government will do whatever we want.) The truckers went home and now nothing will happen.
