“It’s going to be way more than 38,000 by the time it gets there”
At 60 feet length for each rig, that’s about 430 miles of trucks bumper to bumper.
I wonder if the truckers were to set up living quarters in their trucks they couldn’t be foreclosed using the Making Home Affordable (MHA) program?
Furthermore, the District of Columbia is focused on making homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring. Because this level of system transformation will take some time, the District has in the meantime established a protocol for addressing encampments. The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services advocates for the health and well-being of all constituents of the District of Columbia; this includes people experiencing homelessness. As such, our protocol for cleaning public spaces is triggered when a site presents a security, health, or safety risk, and/or interferes with community use of such places. With this in mind, we provide resources to shelter, pathways to housing and access to behavioral health services to individuals at these locations.

A scripture verse came to mind that is PERFECT regarding this convoy protest. As Jesus was sending His disciples out, he instructed them,
Wise as Serpants,,,
That’s come to mind
Many Times in the last two years.
Good Call.
From what I’ve seen, one trucker changing a tire on the Beltway most any time of the day would create a traffic jam for hours. Three or four could bring the entire area to its knees.
I really like the plan for Christian bands and preachers! They will be upbeat and remind everyone to stay positive.
Beware FBI agent/provocateurs!
Somebody needs to explain what this will accomplish.
I’m dense, I guess.
maybe a strategy of just driving slowly all around DC instead of parking. Just slow up all traffic. can they give you a ticket for looking for an address?
More likely I-70. I just thought they might rally the most supporters on overpasses along I-40 in Tennessee...then again, what do I know? :-)
The governor of California will stop it at hid border
AMEN! This is gonna get interesting...
Yes, you can.
I don’t think this is a good tactic. It would be more effective if the truckers simply went on strike.
Good luck trying to drive anywhere near the beltway. Actually they will probably need spot spill over into the feeder streets.
At first I was excited about it. But, now I’m not sure how I feel about it.
Buy for 1$ each, and sign them back to the trucker.
